I am guessing the wadcutter smashed the scull into the brain maybe slicing to pieces ? HW 77 long in .22 @ 12.? FPE (slightly over 12 FPE ) .That's WILD! Maybe the wadcutter didn't penetrate and still caused major brain damage! Or...penetrated and did what it did! Just guessing...
Never saw one walk about but I once hit a rabbit that did the longest death dance ever from jumping about to flinging it's on skull contents all over the place. It was truly gruesome. I guess it all depends on what part of the fuse box shorts out.

Now here’s the deal though, I have exactly 9 wall mounts in the basement approved by wife for PCPs. 8 are occupied at the moment and the last is reserved for an Uragan 3 (will be a .22). Will to get rid of something to make room for a .177. On the bright side, two slots are a Notos and Zelos right now cause I wanted to see what all the fuzz is about. I really like them but if a nice .177 crosses my path one of them could go I guess…
If you really want. You could just buy a .177 barrel kit for the impact and switch back and forth. Roll the tp wheel to .22 or medium and drop the PW to a 25-45fpe position and you're golden.

I only have one Notos, meant one Notos and one Zelos occupying 2 slots in total… the truth is I really like the Notos though, it’s bone stock but whenever a squirrel comes close to the house say under 25y the Notos is what I grab. Always dead on at that range. The Zelos is also surprisingly good, holds up against the high end stuff with ease out to 40-45 yards. After that it can’t keep up, at 20% of the cost of what I compare it to that’s still pretty solid. Bone stock as well.Fair point, .22 and .25 on the impact is enough for me in terms of choices for it, already hard to decide what setup to run between those two since I love both
You got a zelos .22 or .25? I guarantee you that you just haven't found the right ammo for it if that's your case. My buddies .22 zelos (I always tune and test his guns before I give them back to him lol) will repeatedly hit a coke can at 174yds with 28.5gr Zans, the newer ones. Can't do that with VK or Apolos. And it's shooting them around 800fpsOther than to my wallet I guess
.22. Only shot it at 70y max out of basement window, 3/4 - 1 inch groups on average with 18gr AEA. Out of the box, didn’t do anything other than cleaning the barrel. Granted, was in 6-7mph wind with gusts so let’s see on a calm day. Only tried H&N 21gr in it, they were good out to 40 but fell apart after that, maybe I’ll try a few heavier ones and Zan, 174y is impressive!! Must be a monster hold at 800fps
