Head shot thread

.22. Only shot it at 70y max out of basement window, 3/4 - 1 inch groups on average with 18gr AEA. Out of the box, didn’t do anything other than cleaning the barrel. Granted, was in 6-7mph wind with gusts so let’s see on a calm day. Only tried H&N 21gr in it, they were good out to 40 but fell apart after that, maybe I’ll try a few heavier ones and Zan, 174y is impressive!! Must be a monster hold at 800fps :)
It's damn good! I got a bottle conversion kit coming in for it, 25 good shots per fill isn't doing this gun justice. I bet you would definitely get better results! In group at that distance with wind isn't bad though!

Random other question (maybe shouldn’t hijack the HS thread but too late I guess): EPL4 or Helos for the U3 (and probably as well for a Wildcat compact)?
Id always go with the Arken. However, there is a discovery with the same Reticle... For 150/200 less. I think so much of discovery optics I got rid of several FFP vortex, and 2 Athlon Argos BTRs to slap discovery scopes on them.

Thanks!! Looked into discovery scopes but never pulled the trigger… can you recommend one of them with 4-16 or +\- a few? Don’t need more power for this one and would rather keep it light…

I'm enjoying mine. I've been using griffin 21gr LDC with good results , about to try the new boat tail hollow base 24gr LDCs. I really haven't spent much time with the Zelos. Its on the "to do" list. Once the notos and AT44 are done with.

You won't believe this but the HT Series 4-16x44 FFP for $130± is damn good. I have one on my notos and Zelos. I used one on my dreamline for a while. That bargain scope has perfect tracking, a great reticle and surprisingly good optics quality. I replaced it with a higher series but even that scope is good.

HT GEN-II 4-16/6-24x44 Rifle Scopes, First Focal Plane, 6 Levels Illuminated Reticle, Lightweight 30mm Tube Long Range Hunting Riflescope with 20mm Ring Mount https://a.co/d/1Rubguz

The series up

LHD 3-12/4-16/6-24/8-32 Lightweight Tatical Rifle Scope, First Focal Plane, Six Level Red Illuminated Reticle, Riflescope for Hunting with 30mm Tube, Zero Stop, Zero Reset, Large Eye Box https://a.co/d/bGfTxjT

Both are great.
I have several and they all perform..

Edit.. with Amazon you have. Month to decide whether you like it or not, returns simple and free. However, I'll put my money where my mouth is. If you get one and don't like it for reasons other than dysfunction. And you're past return period.. I'll buy it from you

Man, seems like I have to learn how to shoot with a MOA scope or find a place to get the lower power version with mrad reticle…

Easier for me. I shot exclusively MRAD reticles before these. Now I can do both without thinking .

With MOA you get 14 clicks per mil instead of 10 so a little more precision. You're American, I assume you naturally think in inches.

European origin, so I think in both metric and inches but meanwhile probably more in inches. metric still very natural to me though ;)

Gentlemen, we need to cull the grey menace in greater numbers. These creatures are your enemy as an American, as a human.... New evidence that's been covered by the peanut and seed lobby has just been exposed, it is SHOCKING.

Vector Optics 2-8x32 IR SFP under 9" long, under 16oz with the rings, you won't regret it. I ahd it on my U2 Compact and could hit 2in targets out to 100yds with the zoom at 4.5, only issue is no parallax adjustments.

I was just invited to post here, I didn't even know this thread existed, but here it goes...

This was a 50 yard shot at a small mouse. Taken with a FX Dynamic Compact shooting 15.9 grain AEA pellets. The scope is a DNT Zulus 3-12X.

Paul! Fantastic shot @ 50yds on that tiny target with your new Dynamic's first take! Awesome video and pics. Your lobotomy skills are to commended as usual...😂👍
