Head shot thread

30 Cal Vulcan 3....55gn slugs @ 960 fps 28 Yards
Damnit, didn't focus the scope because I hurried the shot, didn't want the lizard scurrying off. Sorry for the crappy vid. 1000004038.jpg1000004039.jpg

Vulcan 3
30 caliber ...55gn slug @ 960 fps about 50-55 yards (estimating off of my parallax adjustment)

Almost couldn't find this guy...was creeping around when I saw him, dropped down to prone but with the uneven ground didn't see him for a second, just his head sticking up. Slug passed through his eye then emptied his skull of all brain matter :-\
Now I have enough rabbits for rabbit stew :)

These I believe I recorded at 240 frames a second so you can really get that slug spiraling in the air and the aftermath :D. Think I can only post one video at a time. So will make a second post. I have memory cards full of these, as well as on possums and racoons if anyone is interested. Daytime I can record in 240 frames though which makes for excellent slo mo.

I need to find something like the eagle vision scope cam for my Brave 8...can record in 480 fps but can't find a mount for it :-/

3 Headshots but if I had to rely on todays catch to feed myself I'd be ****ing hungry. No rabbits anywhere :-/

30 caliber Vulcan 3
55gn slugs @ 960 fps

Bird @ 35 yards
Lizard @ 33 yards
Ground squirrel @ 12 yards (noticed him peaking up out of his hole, can't believe he was checking out the area with me so close. Being so close had to aim with the 1mil hash... aimed behind his ear)

The family was ensconced under the neighbor gals shed, and she was not liking it.
Her kids swingset has a built in sniper tower that put me at 30 yds or so from the offenders.

Diana 54 pushing 15.89 JSBs gave them the good news.

The chucklings all fell first, and appeared to be quite baffled as their siblings went one by one.
Momma came up, only to observe three carcasses as I was cranking the side lever again. I made direct eye contact with the sow through the scope while she snapped her teeth and barked a bit, then she developed a case of highly localized lead poisoning herself.
