HEADS UP UTG FANS $100.00+ OFF!!!

Herr Odoyle, I ordered the 3-12x44 UTG U-MOA just now even though I promised myself not to procure made in China optics anymore, lol!

The 4-16x44 is no more, but I am really quite partial to 9x to 12x scopes for shooting at 25 to 50 yards.

In reality, I group best at 25 yards with the magnification set at 6x to 7x maximum, and about 8x to 9x maximum for 50 yards.

The Barra 25x, which you rallied for, I have not used it yet nor mounted it, but I am very elated with that purchase, so thank you, sir!

Reminiscing, I purchased a Centerpoint 3-12x44 with the hash reticle for an AG friend of mine in the Philippines--probably they are identical, optically speaking.

I bought it off of Ebay for around $54 (brand new and not a refurb) back in 2018 and had it shipped to another state where an American priest family friend was temporarily staying.

He took it with him on the way back to the Philippines (where he is a permanent resident), and my friend, who is not financially-gifted, is still in 7th heaven even up to now.

He even got a medal during one of the competitions using that scope 👍

He has always been a good shot, albeit lacking in good equipment 😁

Good or decent scopes are a luxury in my native country, especially for the common people, and enthusiasts are actually willing to pay double or triple for it.

Got this scope pretty fast, lol!

Took USPS around 3 days to get it to my door 😁

Nice finish with no anomalies in anodizing, and yes, I pored over it with my huge magnifying glass like I always do!

They are no more: the 4-16 as well as the 3-12 U-MOA from ExtremeTactical.Com.

Thanks again, Odoyle sir!

Btw, I should have ordered the gigantic sidewheel for it, as the parallax knob is really stiff, but better stiff than loose!

Love the reticle on this one; not too thin, just the right size, and they have numbers to make counting down or up so much easier ✌️

A footnote of what I typed in the GTA:

She is here

Unfortunately, she was just wrapped in a flimsy plastic with no secondary or outer box

Fortunately, the wrapping was intact with no tell tale signs of abuse; i.e., no dents or tears.

Parts like the sunshade, 2 batts (illumination works!), allen wrenches, cleaning cloth, and Pica/Weaver mounts are all present.

I like it that only the center reticle lights up.

Clarity-wise, the Sokor Bushnell Engage has an edge, although the MOA-Deploy reticle on the Bushy was too busy and closely-spaced for me---reason why I sold mine last year.

Moreover, the Bushy is longer by almost 3", albeit lighter.

The reticle is not as thin as the Bushy's; not too thin nor thick, actually.

Controls are very stiff, especially the side wheel, so perchance an attachment is a must for some.

Yes, it is hefty at around 20 oz. or so, but UTGs/Leapers have always been robust in weight, lol!

I like it for what it is but I surely would not pay $200+ (original price) for it, ha!

For its price it is a steal, imho

To reiterate, I like it for what it is

Gents, you need to advise them of their wrapping methods if yours are yet to be sent.

Mine just got lucky but it could have taken another turn.

My salute to USPS for handling this one expeditiously and with care.

Also the Bushnell Engage and Forge and Match Pro are Chinese and the Nitros are South Korean.

My 4-12x40 1" tube Bushy Engage was made in South Korea and was marked as such at the bottom of the turret compartment.

Was kinda surprised when I saw where it was made.

Mine was when they first came out.

Sold it very cheap to BearAir (?) in the GTA for $120 shipped.

It was unmarked and pristine.

That particular scope is now installed on his MROD, IIRIC.

Yes, the Bushnell Trophy scopes as well as the Legend were made in the Philippines long ago---saw some when I was still there.

Even the Vortex Diamondbacks were made in the PI at some point.

Some unscrupulous sellers in the PI would sell Vortex seconds (I know that they are supposed to be dispatched and thrown into the garbage bin) that would somehow make it out from the factory 😁

AFAIK, Nikons are also assembled in the same factory and that both brands are being overseen by Japanese guys.

I was about to buy a Viper 4-16x44 Gen 1 scope when I was still there but could not get it to focus.

Had to let my AG bud peer through it, (clearer eyes unlike me who has been wearing prescription since 11 YO) and he had the same observation.

Factory seconds are outwardly akin to those that have passed QC but they are defective internally.
