Heavy pellets for FT?

One of my guns absolutely loves the 10.34s

Is that too heavy to use competitively at 12 FPE?

I know most try to use the 7.87 or 8.4

Thoughts?

Most of us in the West shooting FT with our 12 fpe "Pistols" shoot 10.3's ( tho we max at 35 yards )

In WFTF a 10.3 can do very well, but your RANGE DOPING and Numbers need to be DEAD NUTS on the money too hold correction required .

My HW97 loves Heavies but I’ve read on another forum that they may reduce spring life. I did break a spring after 3-4000 shots and getting the replacement spring to produce the same 13.5fpe is such a pita that I switched to 8.4s. Accuracy is still fantastic. Love this gun! Uj

My s510 loves them. One hole groups at 30y if i do my part.Rifle is unregulated and 12 fpe version.

For me is the best pellet for sub 12, 

The world champion uses JSB of 7.9, from the second to the seventh they use JSB of 8.4g, the eighth of the world uses the JSB of 10.34g

Always use the pellet the barrel likes. Doesn't matter what they weigh. I have many 12ftpd guns. Half of them only like the 10.34 heavies. Other ones like the 8.4s. I have also tried the jsb 13 grain in a couple of them. The heavy pellets have more energy down range anyway.

I use them and do pretty well with them, you need the same amount of clicks in the last yards but is quite better in the wind, for me it’s a +

I have been trying to find a pellet that my Daystate likes for shooting Metallic Silhouette at 30,36,40 & 45 yards any suggestions for one pellet for all yardage.
