Hello and help

So, I did a thing. Purchased a used FX M3 compact from Utah Airguns. I’m a little nervous making that purchase without actually seeing the gun, but the folks at UA were super helpful and I felt comfortable with the purchase. It has a few upgrades that I wouldn’t have gotten if I had bought new and was under budget. I think I got a decent price and will hopefully be happy. It should arrive next week, if I live that long. Been pew pewing my girlfriend all around the house since the purchase. She’s ready to kill me.
Expect some growing pains with your Impact, but many here love theirs including me. I think you made a good choice jumping into a good quality pcp instead of buying several budget pcps like I did. And with the Impacts anything that breaks is repairable and just about all the ins and outs have been well documented over the years.

I have a GX CS3 compressor I really like and think the auto shut off is worth the little extra cost, they go on sale regularly on amazon.

For a scope check out Athlon and Arken for proven budget options. I like the UTG Accu Sync mounts for a nice solid budget option.

This one belongs to a good friend now and has put an end to countless pests:

Any typical growing pains?

Due to the wide range of adjustability there are a lot of Impact owners that get frustrated tuning for different loads. In particular when people try to copy their favorite youtoober to shoot slugs. There are also some frustrations with small degrees of reg creep and poi shifts seen by some forum members. But overall most Impact owners have little to no issues and love their rifles. I dont mean to scare you or make you regret your choice, but if you are patient and keep an open mind you will really enjoy your Impact. I still have my MK2 Impact and dont ever plan to let it go.

What caliber did you get?

Nah, not scared at all. I’m pretty patient and love to tinker with stuff. I did see all of the adjustments and thought “damn, that’s a lot.” But I figure once it’s fine tuned, it’s good. I got .25. And will stick with pellets. At least for a while.
Thats a great approach I think you will really enjoy it. Nice to be able to swap barrels and bottles etc as you learn the pcp life too.

In case anyone is still following...

Wow, very nice rifle. UA did a really nice job I think. No complaints at all. Gun came ready to shoot. Zeroed in. I couldn’t find my paper targets (recently moved) but I exploded some potatoes. Really impressed with the gun. Thanks for all the replies. I’m sure I’ll have a ton of questions by the end of the week.
