I have borrowed my buddies Air Force PCP to reduce my prairie dog problem. Needless enough to say, I am in the market for an entry level PCP. Just looking and learning for now.

@G.I. Joe Who - Welcome to the forums! Lots of good information here. The Hunting forum is pretty active. Seems to be quite a few hunters staying busy. Don't forget youtube! Some really active shooters with tons of information.
What kind of rifle are you looking at? I suggest going .22 caliber, there are tons of .22 pellets / slugs available and are easier on the wallet.

Thank you for the warm welcome. YouTube has been my go to for information until I found this forum. So much great experience and information has been shared. It will take me quite a bit of time to see what all is here.

What distance you planning your shots to be at? Some of the cheaper PCPs won't reach out as accurate as others. Not saying you have to go FX, daystate, AAA, etc, but Pdogs tend to be skiddish under 100 yards.
I would say 25 cal minimum to keep power and accuracy up at distance. IME, the larger the caliber in airguns, the more accurate they tend to be.
If weight/length isn't a concern, you could just get the tried and tru marauder rifle. Should work decent and not break the bank. Or buy once cry one!

I have a Feinwerkbau 150 (rifle) and 65 (pistol). Picked up a Sam Yang 909 last month - this started my renewed interest in airguns.

Just getting started and need everything. I borrowed a friend’s airforce condor and was quite successful in reducing my prairie dogs so now I am excited to get my own gear.
His was a .22 so I know that it will be successful, but I may opt for a .25 since they seem to be more of a hunting size pellet. Thoughts?
