Thanks for the replies, I went ahead and order the R9 in .22.

Try the H&N 14.3gr Field Target Trophy. In a pinch, Crosman 14.3 DOMED NOT HOLLOW POINT are decent in a pinch. Usually can find them on Amazon for under $10. Still cheaper than JSB's and shoot very well. I recommend buying pellets in bulk orders. Save money on shipping cost and usually get a free tin. Pyramid, Airguns of Arizona, Utah Airguns all have pellet deals. All HW's have the same flaw; they love to eat pellets!

A friend has a AA TX 200 .22 in walnut and it is a thing of beauty and one hell of a shooter.

I'll throw something totally different out there..... The HW30S (R7) in .22 Cal. Low and slow and spot on accurate out to 20ish yards With H&N FTTs in 5.53/54 head sizes. They put a THUMP on some cans!

I had asked about doing this some time back and many naysayers were out there but I would venture to say that my .22 HW30S is the most fun gun I have. It is a real stress reliever
