N/A help a brother decide!

whats up up my fellow airheads!?

we're back at it again! you're favorite annoying newbie needs help to decide between 2 airguns! i understand these guns are both not even in the same realm when it comes to their usage. but i need some help on deciding between the macavity ma2 or the airforce talon p. i get that one is single shot and the other is magazine fed. i prefer a magazine. i would also like to add im using a hand pump as an air source. my purpose with this gun will most likely be plinking and small to mid game hunting. Quietness definitely matters to me. i heard the talon p is loud as heck. compactness is a plus. if the talon p was quiet and was magazine fed i would pick it all day. if anyone who has either of these guns want to chime in be my guest. thanks guys!!

Talon p is not loud with a moderator, on the other hand. I have no experience with the macavity arms, but from every video review I have seen they are not quiet even with a moderator, if you ppan on plinking a lot, neither is gonna be much fun to pump. Specially the talon as it has a big bottle.

Hmmm….I personally don’t have experience with either. I wouldn’t buy the talon p as it is so so fugly. I would probably buy an avenge x over macavity. Not sure I helped. Neither for me.
The talon p isn't bad in person. They certainly don't look good in pictures

Your choices are like going to a High School sock hop and picking out the two ugliest girls to dance with. LOL. Highly recommend you think a little harder about tried and true quality PCPs that are more mainstream. However, it's your money, so buy what makes you happy. Hope you are not dissatisfied with your final choice.

True the talon p is strange looking. I like how it’s compact though. Macavity is a decent looking gun though. I like the tactical look. Tbh I think hunting rifles and bull pups are ugly. But they do have their uses.
Both are ugly asf. Get an impact m4. Buy once cry once. XD
Yeah I’m sure it’s a great gun and all but no way I’m spending over 2k for a pellet gun.

Sounds like you made your mind up already. But I personally have a Avenge X in 25cal. I love it and plan to get the other 2 barrels to add too it.
I think "bang for buck " the Avenge X is worth looking at
I actually really like this gun. The tactical version looks sick! I wish it was a little bit shorter. It would be cool if they made a compact version. I actually would buy this gun but filling up to 4300 psi with a hand pump would be life threatening I hear lol

To some... An Impact is ugly AF. Let's be honest... It would take less time to mention the 'good looking' airguns over the fugly ones. When it comes to airguns...fugly is winning.
Depends. If you are into traditional rifle, the impact isn't the one..but if you are into AR style guns, then the impact would be the right choice. Come on who doesn't love the AR 99% of American owns them.

Traditional rifles look so bland and boring if u ask me. Ar style is what I like. I think the impact looks pretty. But not 2.2k pretty.

My ideal airgun is something under 30 inches, .30 or 357, and has a cool look to it, fairly accurate up to 75 yards. The aea and bintac guns fit all my criteria, but the testimonials unfortunately have made me look elsewhere. Well at least until I know how to tinker on Airguns much better

I've got a bit of trigger time in with the MA2 now. I am currently fuming over not being able to use the folding stock adapter I bought because Macavity had to make the stock tube receiver weird too. Putting that aside, the whole stock sucks thing, I really do love shooting this airgun. I am getting very good accuracy, and the action is very smooth. If you are going to leave it completely factory and are not going to use a bipod and you are good with the plastic magazines (because they make really nice metal ones that they don't give you with the gun) then I would say that it is a very nice gun and a good buy. I will tell you this too, I am getting the first aftermarket stock that comes out, and if you do buy one, buy some of the metal magazines. I don't have any experience with the Talon P but everything that I have read has been positive. I wouldn't want to hand pump for it. I have hand pumped that size bottle before and it will diminish your fun quite a bit. If you are just taking a couple of shots for hunting and keeping it topped off, then yeah it's doable, but still not preferable. If you suspect that you have more than a year left to live and you really love shooting airguns just get a little compressor, you will eventually anyway and you won't have to feel foolish for putting it off, like some of us have.
