I need some help dating Benjamin Sheridan EB / E9 series CO2 pistol. The serial numbers on my pistol are 120269. So here's what doesnt make sense to me. The book Know your Sheridan by Ronald E. Elbe page 105 says the first Model E pistol was produced Nov. 1977 SN 204220. But on page 102 the SN on my gun dates it at 1975. So if the first one wasnt produced until 1977 how can I have one with a SN that dates it at 1975?
