This is the first nice airgun I purchased as teenager back in 1988ish. I know it's a Benjamin-Sheridan brand. .177 caliber. 3-8 pumps and hammer spring with Low/High 2-position cocking. This pistol is completely stock as when purchased. I've never done a single thing to it other than clean the barrel a few times over the decades. It still pumps up with no leaks. Send a 7gr wadcutter at ~500fps with max pumps and High setting.
It does say H9 Series on the side. But that really means nothing to me. I saw a few threads over the past weeks where an H9-something was mentioned and the pics look the same as this gun.
So does this gun have any untold legacy behind it? Is it special in any way - historical, accuracy, etc?
Not that I'm planning on selling it, but I recall paying about $115 - $125 for it originally. Does it have a dollar value above and beyond being just a 30 year old used pistol?
