Help me decide on a potential HIGH END optic for my Evol Mini

After shooting my mini out to basically 100 yards the other day I am questioning a few things and thinking of topping it with a high end optic , the HPS would be on the chopping block knowing the mini shoots that distance well , especially them both being the same caliber.....and would be helping fund this optic .

I would prefer a "clean" dirty reticle ALSO MUST BE FFP

I would like maximum magnification of 20 or higher minimum magnification of no higher than 4.

I would prefer it to be similar to this length but this weight or less, the weight is KEY

  • Length: 14.2"

  • Weight: 23.8oz

March 3-24x or 2.5-25x perhaps? I own a few and like them all. My favorite compact is the 1.5-15x available in SFP FFP or DFP, but that won't meet your requirements. I ran a 2.5-25x for a few years and loved it. I currently have a 3-24x and the FFP reticle is growing on me.

2.5-25x52mm SFP - Several reticles to choose from including one designed for FT.
  • 13.3" long
  • 23.1 oz
  • Focuses to 10 yards
  • Japanese ED glass
  • 120 MOA of elevation travel
  • 60 MOA of windage travel
  • Zero Set
3-24x52mm FFP - Several reticle choices. None specific to FT
  • 13.23" long
  • 23.1 oz
  • Focuses to 10 yards
  • Japanese ED glass
  • 120 MOA of elevation travel
  • 60 MOA of windage travel
  • Zero Set
Add a BulzEyePro and you essentially have a 31 to 32x in your pocket that slips on like a dust cap, for when you need more magnification. The BulzEyePro also makes it much easier to see fine lined precision reticles when one's eyes start to fade with age.

I was just looking at this one and the specs are insane for such a piece of glass!

I own this scope, and it checks all the boxes except for ffp. If you can live without that, this is a steal. The glass is incredible.

Gonna be hard to tick all your boxes, especially the weight in FFP. But these are 2 of my favorite mid-powered high end scopes. Both are about 28oz. The NX-8 is only 12'' long, while the Nexus is about 14''.

March makes a 3-24 in two objective sizes. Certain both come in under your weight & length parameters. A few or more reticle choices.
This is the scope I was thinking. March-F 3-24x42mm. Shorter and lighter than your listed spec. In fact I have one sitting on my Mini right now with the FML1 reticle. :) Love it,

@ctshooter do you have a photo of it scoped, the shorter length is my only concern due to eye relief and keeping objective lens of the scope close to hugging the barrel

Thanks @ctshooter , I just went to take for sale ad pics of the hps and then just couldn't bring myself to do it. That's the first time that's ever happened to me!

However when it comes time to spend some big boy money on optics , it'll be that March and it'll be for the mini that's for damn sure
Never let go of a great thing… good on you for pumping the brakes on selling the HPS. That Mini is simply flexing disproportionately to it size. Little guns, going “big”. Would love to own the March optic posted up by @ctshooter

That's exactly what the mini is doing. Much like your Atomic has been doing lately on the forum. It isn't a bad thing , but it's relative :)

I hate to admit it but my 15" EVOL has been flexing on the Mini quite a bit the past month. Only a few inches longer and still quite maneuverable and definitely struts it stuff with the .22 MRD @ 920-930 fps.
I scored my hps at a smoking deal, couldn't have duplicated that again. It is longggg with 21" barrel but an absolute laser with those mrd at 950 fps.... and consistent

I was however just totally impressed with the mini at 90 yards, I attributed the larger group size to shooting on 14 power instead of 25 I normally shoot on when shooting my hps.

Either way, they're both too great to let go but I appreciate everyone taking their time and that march looks absolutely perfect.
