Help me decide

Sig P226 in black or FDE? The sensible part of me says black, with the added advantage that Mrs Clancy probably wouldn't realise that it's a new gun, and thus save me some ear ache.

But then a part of me kinda hankers after the FDE so I can pretend I'm a (chubby middle aged) Navy SEAL.

Which would you choose, and why?

Just buy a can of flat dark earth spray paint and tell the old lady your going to paint your old gun so it will look like new

I think if a man is scared of spending a 100 bucks on anything he has already lost, so do what you want is my vote or have her buy it for your B-Day, early X-mas fathers day or just because you what one to make you happy

Does anyone know what the type of finish the FDE has? I mean, is it powder coated, painted, or what? Trying to gauge how durable it might be.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Having finally been sold on FDE I went to the local dealer this morning, saw the Glock 17 dual ammo, became sexually aroused and bought that instead. The Sig will have to wait until next month.

I was going to buy the Sig instead of the glock than I stumbled across videos with issues on the rotary mag. Ended up with the Glock 17 non-blow-back and it's a alot of fun. No issues.

Get an ASG instead. Every sig co2 pistol I've owned didn't last.

I got bored with all black and got the dual-tone. Wasn't ENTIRELY committed.
