Help me identify what gen FX Impact this is

I’ve purchased and arriving tomorrow a very gently used FX Impact in .22 and I’d like to know what generation it might be...I’m guessing with the 1st 2 digits in the serial it’s maybe a 2018 production..I know it’s not the MKII but what are the differences between mine and the current production MKII 

also can the power plenum be added and what possible upgrades should I be looking for or can be done to this model, bc Im thinking to get either the .25 or .30 cal superior barrel kit for it eventually

Were these the ones that possibly had the different size holes in the transfer port compared to the pellet probe ??

does the power plenum kit come with the newer style hammer assy with possibly different spring rate than factory setup



do these guns benefit at all from the vertical external plenum being larger or most guys just possibly going to larger horizontal plenum.

Doesn't say mk2 on the cocking arm. So its a mk1. Most likely gen 3 mk1. All impact can be upgrade with the power plenum. It comes with springs and hammer and everything needed to install.

Thanks Impact, yes it’s obvious it’s not the new MKII. Being I’m not up on the history of the different generations of the impacts, am I correct in assuming this might be the 3rd and final upgrade in the 1st gen before they started the first gen of the MKII ? 


How much has been changed between what I have and current production impacts. I know obviously the PP but does the upgraded hammer and components make a considerable difference. Matt’s new Special Edition Impact in .22 supposedly has a softer spring in the front valve (forget the name but where the rubber ball is) along with a completely redesigned fully adjustable pellet probe which would be nice to eventually get

Gen3 started with SN 183535 so it is a Gen3 Impact X, It has an AMP Regulator with a 16mm piston and 10mm housing. No changes happened after this one till MK II came out.

The MKII has a superior hammer system, valve and power plenum compared to prior models.

Excellent Thank you. So are these mentioned MKII upgrades readily available for my model. The videos I’ve seen because I’m not sure what all is included with the PP upgrade kit, if the hammer upgrade, hopefully in a kit, is included ??

PP Kit has all the parts to upgrade to MK II if I am not mistaken.

The hammer kit is included in the power plenum kit but to get max out on hammer adjuster you need to upgrade it I did my impact x gen3 with the power plenum upgrade

Did you notice much improvement. Some say on smaller cal it’s not worth the cost or effort

Sometimes trying to source parts in Canada can be frustrating to say the least especially with this CV-19.23,59. Everything’s being held up at the borders. Been waiting on a set of injectors for my 2nd gen Cummins for over 2 months now. But ya I’d like to see what I could do to improve on an already great rifle. 


are the Huma regs worth it ?

Id go with the power plenum kit, and keep your original hammer spring, and valve return spring (inside plenum) and valve stop setup.

Id use the new plenum of course, new hammer, new valve rod/valve and valve house and hammerweight.
