I'm not new to airguns or big bores, just seemingly so here. I was around 15-20 years ago on the Yellow and TAG. I've owned 3 big bore Quackenbushes (.308, 458, .50) and Airforce (.25) rifles in the past that I stupidly sold. I have a Hammer for sale in the classifieds and I'm looking for something else.
I've tried to get some answers to questions I have, from Extreme Big Bores, but Angela's customer service skills are seeminly lacking. So here I am.
I'm wanting a .40+ caliber that will hit 400+FPE at 850+ FPS, maintain at least 2-3 MOA to 100 yards, yet keep OAL to around 40".
My first thought was the Extreme .457 at 24" in the tactical chassis. Can any one of you tell me the potential energy and accuracy in the 24" barrel and the weight difference of the tactical chassis versus their laminate stocks? The quality seems to be there. What is the thread size on the muzzle?
My second thought was the AEA Zues .72 in a 16" barrel. What is the accuracy and power potential in that configuration? Are they quality?
I haven't been around on the net in a very long time. Maybe there is/are other models that would fit the bill?
Thanks
