Help with FX pocket chronograph

I am looking for help with my Early version FX pocket chronograph I hang it by the mount under the muzzel an start shooting and all is well but somewhere in the middle of the session it just no longer see any of the shots.Stopping the session and logging out sometimes gets it going again but not always.By moving the position of the iPhone doesn’t help Esther.Somtimes it returns on it own.Any suggestions?

There is a sensor inside that can become partially dislodged from its sockets, especially if dropped. You can simply reseat the sensor if it is loose. I just place the chrony on the table beneath the barrel, it is pretty forgiving placement wise, when working correctly.

Definitely use the lithium batteries !
Lithium... Careful - there's a few different types of lithium batteries.

There's rechargable lithium 3.7v cells - typically marked as 14500
There's ones that are usb recharged & provide 1.5v - they're expensive but really good
There's also primary (non-rechargable) lithium 1.5v - have a higher voltage when operating (closer to 1.5v) so are a bit more stable in high current devices.

Sorry, I should have clarified that I use the Energizer lithium batteries recommended by FX.

Thanks everyone for your help.I have purchased some non rechargeable lithium battries but have not had the chance to see how that works I'm also in the process of 3D printing a mount for my rail so the unit doesn't have to hang off of the barrel.

ohhh interesting point with the mount.
When I do my calibration work - I mount 2 Chronys back to back & fixed to each other.
Through testing (putting multiple calibrated chronys back to back) its clear the mounting is CRITICAL - any vibration or wobble *really* throws off the results & makes the calibration process impossible.

If you get a good amount of recoil...
& the chrony is fixed to the barrel: it could be that the Chrony is moving & not stationary & you could read fast
& the chrony is loose on the barrel/sitting on a desk - then it could be stationary & read lower/correct

If you dont have much recoil - no issues & mount away!
