Sheridan Help with my childhood Sheridan

Hello all,

I have the Sheridan pump that my dad gave me as a kid and I'd like to get it working. The main problem is that the bolt is missing. I remember it was the straight bolt, not curved.
I'm sure it also needs sealing.
Can someone point me to a place to find the right bolt and seal kit?

Near as I can tell from info on this site and youtube videos it's probably a late 50's/early 60's model? I took the stock off and the only info on it is "Sheridan Products Inc., Racine Wis--Made in U.S.A."
Would this make it a Blue Streak?

Thanks for any advise you can give,
Michael

Wow, thanks for the quick replies and info, I've got a lot to work with now. I'll get started and keep you all informed as I go.
Thanks!
That is great info!
A lot of old Streaks can return to good function with a good flush of the check and release valves, but almost always need a pump plunger replacement.
I've used the alcohol flush, but actually prefer cleaner degreaser.
I look forward to feedback. 👍

The old Sheridans had a great trigger and give good accuracy with modern .20 pellets, so well worth fixing up in my opinion. I also like the tang safety on yours as it encourages the thumb top hold that is still used by many top shooters since it prevents torquing the stock. I rebuilt mine myself, so it can’t be too hard. I did make a special tool to remove the valve, maybe something similar is available to purchase. If you are sending it out for rebuild, ask to have the receiver drilled for a receiver sight, or maybe you can do that yourself. Good luck!

I plan on tackling the project myself, I'm fairly mechanically inclined, I may get into and change my mind, but I'll give it a go. I ran across a kit that includes the tool to remove the valve. https://www.bakerairguns.com/product/sheridan-c-seal-kits/
I'm glad you mentioned .20 caliber, I couldn't remember if it was .20 or .177.

Edit; just ordered the seal kit and the bolt, I'm committed now, ha.

For inspiration here is my Blue Streak, also a gift from my dad, rebuilt after many years of hard service. Still a good shooter!

That guy is really nice!

I've owned mine 53 years, and it is a mess that has been well used, and squeezed for every dollar of enjoyment through the years.

The second one is a 55 model that I picked up second hand.

uh oh, I ordered my seal kit from them, I hope that works out ok.
I'm pretty sure I ordered a seal kit from them, but I wound up ordering some of the seals from Tim at Mac1, who is apparently out of business, hopefully temporarily.
Tim had seals made of delrin that I used rather than the traditional lead seals.

I had made a lead seal trimming fixture for the lathe to shape the seals to the correct size and shape. Makes assembly sooooo much easier, (less chance of cross threading the internal threads on the plug that fastens the valve body in.

The hardest part of my valve service was holding the hammer spring tension and screwing the valve retaining nut in without cross threading it.
I was determined to put it in the same way it came out, but I couldn't get it, and wound up flipping it.
