My impact will not fill past 215 bar but my pump and tank say the pressure is close to 300 bar. Is it a bad FX gauge? It’s a brand new gun.

Mine is showing 35 bar less.I double test it with two different big digital manometres.So when i was filling it at 250 bar actually it was 215 bar and i was wondering why my shot count is very small .So i will not be surprised if your fx gauge is around 35 bar off.The second one i installed is working perfect .

When I have two gages for safety purposes I believe the one with the highest reading. Then I start investigating! I have had a lot of fx guns and only one that was way off.

The tank pressure gauge on my Impact would stick at 150b. Burned through a ton of lead and had my reg apart way too many times until I got that figured out. Yes, your gauge can be bad on a $2k gun.

One of my Impact gauges was 40 bar off from the factory. Don't know how they could miss that kind of thing. Never thought to complain to them I just replaced/upgraded both the gauges.
You are probly overfilling your gun. Trust the two gauges over the one.

Yea I don’t know I just double checked my EDgun it’s the same as my fill source. This is only the second fill on my impact the first fill I filled it up to 250 with no issues. So why would the gauge be stuck on 215 after only one fill? it will go down in pressure as I shot it just won’t go past 215 now. So the gauge is the only thing it could be right? Nothing else?

I wouldn't unscrew the bottle. The regulator O-Ring may become unseated then you got yourself a leaker.
Always leave pressure in the Impact unless absolutely necessary to degass to change the gauge as a quick swap quickly as possible.
Leaving an Impact without any air in it is like unplugging life support from a comatose body.

Ok but the real question is why are you still using fx guage? All impact owners are using the wika guages for both bottle and reg. I have both on my impact and never had a problem.

Isn’t unscrewing the bottle a really common thing?I’ve talked to guys that carry extra full bottles with them out in the field. I see your point about playing it safe. I guess it’s just as easy to shoot a mag through it.

Sorry you have a bad gauge already. If you are going to look at new gauges, take a look at the Sekhmet digital gauges. They are very accurate, rechargeable, waterproof and have a whole bunch of great features. More and more people are using them because they are so much more accurate than analog gauges. They are also upgradable for future advancements. Worth a look!

Yeah you forgot the part where it cost $100. Lmao. And you need 2 for bottle and reg. Thats $200. Not many ppl want to spend $200 on guage. Wika guages are pretty accurate and cost $39.
