Hi all, I removed my Veteran shroud to remove the barrel for cleaning. For no good reason, I removed the end cap also, and promptly spilled the guts on the floor. If anyone has a photo or diagram of the correct order of these pieces, I would appreciate it.

I had them fall out accidentally, and I went from large to small (ending with small at the muzzle). It was logical to me that the longer tubes should be in the expansion area at the muzzle.

So you'd put the perforated threaded piece im first, then longest tube, baffle, next longest tube, baffle, next longest tube, baffle.

Thanks. I found a Mutant diagram, which I assume is very similar. I notice one thing I find counterintuitive, the cone shaped baffles are inserted with small opening in the rear, I would have guessed opposite.
But, then the whole thing wouldn't fit in the shroud body....gotta cut out the bourbon when gunsmithing.

Thanks Derrick. And in case anyone out there is as dumb as me (which I doubt), this exploded drawing is on the back of our manual! Got the barrel cleaned and polished and everything back together. These are great rifles, easy to service.

What is the advantage over the factory aluminum cones?

No advantage except maybe less resonance with the polymer vs metal; but not distinguishable to my ear. Availability was the primary reason for asking Papy to print them. I already had his cheek rest, mag holders and lever overlay. I also was assuming that it was unlikely that a dealer would have the cones sitting in stock.
Why did I need them in the first place? I had removed everything necessary in order to replace the breech o-ring. I did not pay close enough attention to the baffle and spacer assembly. Reassembled and 1st shot clipped and ruined two cones. That's when I called Papy.
