Tuning Help

I just got a Hatsan 125 sniper in .22 for Christmas, LOL. I mounted a Hammers 4-12 AO on it and started shooting. The trigger was so bad at 15 yards I was having trouble hitting anything. I have now done the trigger and mounted a two piece bipod on it. I shot it today and the group is much larger than expected. At 30 yards, the best I could do was around 2 1/2". My question is, shouldn't this gun be shooting better with any pellet. Some background, I have shot a lot of centerfire bench rest and can cover 3 shot groups with a dime. This is however my first Magnum air gun.

Thanks for any input.

Be sure to tighten all of the stock mounting screws and scope mounting screws and watch this.

Be sure to always hold the barrel firmly while cocked with your other hand while loading your pellet for safety reasons unlike this guy.

Expect target groups average about one inch or better at 30 yards with a good pellet which the gun actually favors after testing many other pellets once you master the spring gun artillery hold and have at least 500 Break in shots.

Thank you for all the help! I tried the artillery hold and it did bring the groups in some with JSB Diabolo Jumbo heavy 18.13gr being the most accurate. But I ended up buying a Refurbished Hatsan Flashpup in .177 because I like to see my holes touching. LOL! Thanks Again!
