That one is most likely going to have problems with clipping. 
I think I made the bore too tight on it. I got carried away and did not allow room for it to be mounted on a shroud. If it does clip it is possible that the shooter may be able to shoot it clear. I've done that and had no problems after that but if it clips on the endcap it will be ruined and he will have to return it for a replacement (which is a pain for him)... so don't get in a hurry guys. Still a work in progress next go round...
It should be pretty quiet for it's size IF it doesn't clip.

everything takes time to get it correct, the one in the picture, clipping might depend on the caliber.. you could always make different bore sizes depending on caliber.. I know that it's probably easier to make a one fits all..That one is most likely going to have problems with clipping.

so take your time and get it how you want it..
I used to manufacture sliding axle trailers for nut harvesters around 20 years and well the best on was the last one I built.. not that the others were bad, the last one was just better.. did it seasonal during the winter and farmed during the summer.. all hydraulic and remote control.. so I totally understand from idea to manufacturing and all the effort it takes..
I don't know if you have followed the tequila gun but that guy has put in a lot of work.. he's braver than me, I'd have tested it and worked through all the problems before I told anyone that it was in the making..
so you are doing good work and it just takes time and testing.. I think yours wouldn't have any trouble with 177 but like you said you might have to increase the bore..
so good luck with it and don't give up.. your doing what it takes to make a great

Turned out he wanted it for a .25 and it runs just fine on that. I don't know if he tried to run it on a 30 yet or not.
