Hey guys...any opinions on the Daystate 110 compressor?

I have owned a few compressors in my day but I stoped buying cheap ones am not a young hang guy I went through hell with them over 3 and give up. So then I got a Omaga twin turbo and loved it but I moved and sold it. Now I got a Omaga trail charger and it's problematic it keep loosing pressure and them blows bursts disks at 2,000psi? So am done with that. I am looking at the Daystate 110 looks nice I hear good things about it but lately some guys are saying the are ok?? But not great so if anyone has one please let me know how you like it thank you.

Yeah I hear ya, I'm real close to ordering the Daystate 110v. Seems pretty solid and decent track record from what I've read. But its mechanical, so some point it will have an issue. Hopefully you'll get plenty of feedback on this post. But I'm convinced for the money it the way to go. Otherwise the choice is a Bauer for 4500 bucks☹☹

The Omaga turbo was great but you can't get one now. The young hang is just way to much work and it runs way to hot then brakes down. Outside of the breathable air differences I don't see why they cost so much more for a scuba compressor am not looking for the most expensive just a fast reliable Compressor. I know a lot of guys have them in hear that's why am looking for there input. Thank you

Things cost more because they are more complex/heavier built/perform better/etc. The dive compressors seem to be proven in providing high volume dry air and that comes at a cost. I (and others) have written about how to use the YONG HANG type compressors with success-you might want to read those posts. If you want more in life, you usually have to pay for it. All relative.

I would like to know where you can buy a new Bauer compressor for $4500.00 at , I can’t find one even code to that. I am having a Alkin W-31 delivered today , we will see if how good it is shortly. I searched high and low for a Bauer they were priced thru the roof.

Joe B has them on his website...its give or take $4500 plus shipping n taxes. Dont hold me to the penny 😂🤷‍♂️

Ok kip just got done telling me this same thing he told me under filling is better then over filling with the oil. He also said open up the valve and run it for 3 to 5 min after you fill your tank to cool it down. Thank you for letting me know I need all the advice being a new guy to this Daystate compressor. I am very well versed on how to use them but this is my first Daystate.

Happy to help, I love mine. I've got a thread on some FLIR images about the importance of the cool down cycle.

I have not installed any additional filters, mine is stock. I like to tinker and am a tinkerer at heart but I also know a well engineered machine.

I installed a small vinyl tube maybe 4 inches in length on the condensate tower discharge and place an old sweatshirt under to catch any moisture or oil blow off.

The other thing is if I've not filled in two weeks I let it run with the bleed valve open for about 5 minutes. After filling the next day I will also run it for maybe 3 minutes to blow out any settled moisture.

Personally I don't think you need it, I'm in South East in Swamp Ass country (lol), and if you're pumping from a conditioned space I think it unnecessary. If you are pumping outdoors I would absolutely purchase one.

If you're just doing top-offs with a check-value no reason for a PMV either.

Hope this helped, I am not negatively judging your purchase decision or pointing any fingers, just trying to share input/experience.

Too all you folks that put the ads on there have you called any of them, because I did Joe B told me they are around 8000. that's why he sells Alkin now. I told him his web site had them for x amount and he told me its a old site and he is working on updating it.

Sorry for offering a direct link, you did your diligence by calling. That's what anyone would do who wanted to pursue it. I used his exact website,not sure how it could be old. That's on Joe, too bad he hasn't made corrections. Only offering a suggestion based off information that was out there. Now we know,maybe.
