I have a drone (Phantom 3 Standard) that I'd hoped to use for airgun hunting & spotting prey on the larger permissions I have. Unfortunately the camera gimbal isn't functional but everything else is! I decided to get a new drone for hunting but was hoping one of you RC guys might PM me & let me know where I might sell the old one (LOTS of extras, 2 batteries, camera lens filters, carrying case, extra blades, etc.) A little help, PLEASE!
MODERATORS: I know this is kind of off topic but kind of not (pertains to airgun hunting). I'm NOT trying to skirt the rules here. Didn't know where to post this on AGN or IF it's OK to do so.

Facebook marketplace would probably be good for a local sale. Also check local laws. I know here in Michigan it’s illegal to use a drone in the pursuit of game.

Rc Groups isn't bad, ended up leaving them as they were way to political and made things absolutely horid. Facebook may be the best bet.... but understand that rc equipment and gear typically doesn't hold value very well. You may be better to figure out the issue and fix your dji.

You might want to try eBay as there are many DJI products listed there. I fly a DJI Mini 3 standard and being able to adjust the cameras tilt vertically is so helpful! Good luck!

Craigslist, offer up. You can try Phantom Pilots but there might be qualifications to get access to the classifieds. You might be able to find a replacement gimbal on there. Maybe even locally.

I have always found the camera gimbal equipped drones a bit silly, not least as they often have a fixed lens and so you at best have a couple of times digital zoom.
And so if you want to capture something little, okay some RC cars bashing in a field is no problem, but a critter of some sort would probably not like a big humming thing hovering above it.
Some do offer a thermal camera, and that might be very good for spotting critters, but not so good for identifying what it actually is CUZ the thermal cameras are also much like action cameras.

BUT ! i am of course assuming here, never owned a drone only flown my friends phantom 1 way back in the day when he got that.
That be "flying " with all the build in assistance turned on, otherwise i would just be crashing drones.

I forgot to say, if it was me that had a issue like this, and the place layout allowed for it, i would just do like riot police would do, put a PTZ camera on a tall mast and film people in the act, that is the ones not wearing the now mandatory ski mask for protesting.

I think you can connect directly to a IP camera and then on a phone control its Pan Tilt and Zoom, but assuming again CUZ i of course do not have anything wifi, well not that i would use regularly, and even so it is mostly Toys like the dashcams i also dabble in, and i am sure had my old eyes been better so i could read the little camera screens, i would not use phone to do settings ASO
