Hi Dave. I hear your pain. I live in Vic and the laws are fairly universal for the whole of OZ since that loony ran amok in Tassy, twenty-odd years ago. I thought that I would save a few pennies and order some JSBs from Poland. To my surprise, I got a letter from customs informing me that if I didn't produce the proper paperwork, they would confiscate the parcel under the classification of ammunition or dangerous goods legislation. Even lead-shot is treated the same. Anyway, being a licenced shooter, I was able to procure the required form and once submitted, the goods were released. I have since not bothered with the process. For those enquiring about power limits down here. The same licence is required for a Daisy Red Rider as is required for .22 rimfire or shotgun so there is no need for restricting power on an airgun unless they could produce centerfire type power.
