High end .30 caliber PELLET rifles?

@CTairgunner1288 I like the Evol .30 it slings slugs too though. I’ve taken it out just beyond 100 yards shooting JSB 44.75 grain pellets and it performs well. I bought mine used for hunting and haven’t had any major issues with it. What type of shooting do you intend to do with a .30 cal?

It would be used for pesting/hunting mostly when the need calls for those longer range shots (60-100y). I also feel a need to expand my collection to include a "long rifle" , I have all bullpups now. I would target shoot with it like I do all my other rifles but I would like it for taking out woodchuck, possibly coyote.

My vote for a .30 PELLET gun is the Cricket TAC. They shoot 50.1 JSB like a laser and have done well in competition, both 100Y BR and Extreme Field Target. The slow twist barrel is made for pellets.
You excluded FX, but if you find a good used .30 FX Bobcat Mk2 they are also awesome pellet shooters. The Long version is the FX Boss.

The Cricket Tac is another one especially if they like those heavy .30 pellets, I have looked at most. I like the quality of those eastern european guns. Also if Steve could do up one of his stocks in walnut id be all in.

@CTairgunner1288 At 60-100 yards you should be nailing pests that sit relatively still for you. I enjoy shooting mine from a tripod. That’s my preferred setup for coyote hunting. If I can get prone I like that as well. It also fits into one of my backpacks well making carrying it between stands easier in the field.

I really like that you can get the pivot point close to the trigger when mounting to the tripod! that is slick! thank you for your weigh in!

Everyone has their favorites. With that said, I don't plan to get rid of my EVOL .30 anytime soon.
I second that sentiment.

My EVOL .30 shoots the FX Hybrids as accurately as the 44.75 pellets.
Rumor has it that NSAs are lights out in them as well. Ezana is the guy for info on that.

That said, the Eastern Bloc rifles are as solid and reliable as anything made, so tough call if not worried about the 'buy USA' aspect.
I have yet to see any one get poo pooed for buying a Kalibr or AGT rifle.

I am a taipan sucker and now have an airmaks caiman on the way, I really enjoyed my airmaks katran and it was built (imo) with the same quality. I would love to buy USA and honestly the Evol, at this point is still at the top of the charts. Now if a Taipan came in .30 , id not even be here tho lol

CT,
Why not join those of us patiently waiting on Krales (Netherlands) to finally get the Uragan 2 in stock? It's a U2 Synthetic stock .30 700mm, for me. Willing to pay more, head over to Talon Tunes, he's already filling orders. Already enjoy the .30 caliber in my FX Wildcat MK3 Sniper, 814 fps @ 66 fpe with JSB 44.75 grain, interested in the higher powered U2 for the same pellet. WM
I bought my uragan 2 from talon tunes. only waited 5 days.

Whil I’ve owned a Uragan king, prophet, leshiy 2, impact mk2 all in .30, ive sold them all. Except the leshiy2.
the Uragan king was nice, but too heavy, and the ping was too loud for my ears.

the prophet was super light and great to HandLW, but I couldn’t overcome the left hand cocking

the impact mk2 was tuned by Augie and was the most accurate of all, but not really intended for out in the woods, more suited for tripod or benchrest work.
the Leshiy 2 I have a .30 500mm FX barrel in, and it’s super accurate in this setup, but not as accurate as a standard side lever cocking rifle.

the cricket tactical looks to be a winner, but I need to get my hands on one first after watching multiple people have issues loading the mag.
the uragan 2 is nice, but I don’t see it having enough differences from the first Gen to be worth the money.
Now the EVOL is in a league of its own, and if I had the money to spend, I would own one in a second!

that’s all my 2 cents

good luck on your research!

If you can't swing the EVOL, the Cricket 2 Tactical looks interesting. The only issues is the indexing latch plate and I don't think DonnyFL sells the modified plate for C2 Tactical. Also hearing about the over rotation of the mag doesn't sound so great. I personally don't care for front bottle guns in a bullpup platform in the looks and ergonomics department. Also makes mounting a bipod further out awkward.

I guess I've never warmed up to it but that might change in the future. I know you can get a Saber Tactical bottle clamp with picatinny attachment but I personally wouldn't want to put pressure on the bottle. I guess one of the reasons the Cricket 2 Tactical has my interest is the SC aftermarket stock. This thing looks sick and transforms the gun.
