Just a heads up to those that may be in the market for a "Target" gun (pistol or rifle).
Seems that I just WAY overpaid for a Steyr LP50 Compact target pistol.
I did do a "little" searching" before I passed out my credit card number to Pilkguns for this gun. Unfortunately, I didn't do "enough" searching. Interesting that a couple of people here recommended Pilkguns to me for this purchase. I can only assume that they did not do their do diligence either, AND…did no follow up on their purchase.
Per the Steyr catalog, per the Steyr web site, and NOW per an email delivered to me this morning by a Steyr representative, buyers are SUPPOSED to receive "two" air cylinders. At least for the LP50 and other Steyr guns. Not the single (as in one) cylinder that Pilkguns provides, and seems more than happy with.
Anyway, Pilkguns seems very happy to take ANOTHER $200 for the second cylinder IF you buy it during the original purchase. Or…it's $225 after the original purchase..!
And while we are at it, a second thing that I did not directly ask about, I'm going to "assume" that I also paid extra for the XL grip over the standard medium grip, BUT, did not receive the medium grip, that I "assume" came with the gun originally. This is an assumption based on the cylinder "deal". The way I see it, I SHOULD have received…two grips.
I was kindly notified by a person on this site that I may have been taken by Pilkguns. And after some searching and general homework, it seems that I have.
Seems that he phrase – Caveat emptor, fits perfectly here.
