High scope ring height to allow for mag clearance.

When you get the rifle, measure the required clearance then go to the various ring makers' sites. There is no industry standard, and many vary a great deal. Most will give you the measurements for their rings, but you need to do the research for each brand. Also, you will need to know whether the turret bulge is over the magazine, as that will increase the clearance requirement.

Hi folks,
I'm awaiting delivery on my Daystate Wolverine. What height rings will allow clearance of the magazine?
Thanks in advance.
It would be ideal for you to wait until the Wolverine gets to you before ordering. That way you can shoulder the gun into it's natural spot on you and see where the scope sits. Where you naturally shoulder the rifle and look through the scope should dictate the ring height. It is going to be the distance between the rail and the centerline of the scope. A piece of paper taped to the rail with measurements on it can give you a good idea of what the height is going to be.

From looking at photos of the wolverine, it looks like the same amount of magazine sticks up past the receiver as my huntsman revere. I was told I needed extra high from the retailer I bought the rifle from. No bueno.

The first photo is Hawke high mounts.

And the extra high.

Thank you for your reply and time. Looks like the Hawke is working well for you?
I like them. I bought the offset to be more versatile with other rifles and scopes. I also use a Vector Veyron, which is a compact scope. That can be mounted completely behind the magazine.
