What went wrong with both of them?Gx has my vote. Bought a new hill and it didn't last 15 minutes, returned it, got a replacement and it lasted about 10 minutes.
I appreciate the info, good to know. Thanks!I have a Hill 310 and the GX version of the JTS compressor you mention
The JTS looks exatly like a rebranded GX CS4...not sure why they are so much more. Yeah, just get a GX
The hill is a great pump and I personally don't have anything negative to say about it. The digital display is nice, especially if you plan on direct filling. But it's twice as much as a GX CS4 and it's not something that I'd want to fill larger tanks w...even though it supposedly can handle it.
Good to know, thank you.+1 to what Avator recommends. The Hill is more of a direct rifle fill compressor than a bottle fill compressor. It can fill a bottle but produces more heat and has several cool down cycles per fill. The GX-CS4 is nearly the same a JTS Comp100 at a much better price.
It seems as this is the guy to get from the input I’ve gotten here. I always look for a codeGX-CS4

I'm not 100% sure if one pays for the JTS "tax" or are there significant changes between the two?I have a Hill 310 and the GX version of the JTS compressor you mention

I understand the “branding increase” that can occur with items. How long have you had yours?I'm not 100% sure if one pays for the JTS "tax" or are there significant changes between the two?
My JTS = GX CS3.......If I'm not mistaken the JTS had more options. Was it worth the extra paid? I don't know!
Two years when the JTS first come out........It might be coming onto three?I understand the “branding increase” that can occur with items. How long have you had yours?
Have you had any problems? What maintenance have you done, other than adding more grease I’d assume? Two years when the JTS first come out........It might be coming onto three?
I have done nothing! I only fill my guns, not large bottles.......My largest gun has a 480cc bottle.Have you had any problems? What maintenance have you done, other than adding more grease I’d assume?
GX should be able to answer these questions for you.. I would follow their suggestions before anyone else's.OK, I found the GX CS4 shipped for $495 after discount.
What grease is recommended? Some kind of pure silicone?
What type of coolant?
What have you all been using for water control in the air line?
Well that’s good to hear. I appreciate youI have done nothing! I only fill my guns, not large bottles.......My largest gun has a 480cc bottle.
I just finished looking at the GX CS3 video and two things I notice are different to my JTS unit is, mine has an actual exhaust pipe that exits the unit and there is also a clear whiteish pex hose that exits the moisture built up in the unit.......I have yet to see any moisture come out the hose or the exhaust to have any heat. Literally, I could stick my tongue on the exhaust after I fill my 480cc tank.
The new model JTS is a larger unit that matches the GX CS4.......Are they the exact unit, I have no idea.
I'm not telling or suggesting anyone to purchase the JTS unit! I honestly don't know if its worth the extra cost or not? All I know, I have gotten more than my monies worth so far and can honestly say, I have no idea how much longer it will continue on?
very true, I was just hoping one of you that had/has me already had the answersGX should be able to answer these questions for you.. I would follow their suggestions before anyone else's.
So there are at least some differences. I think I’ll just pick up a CS4 and hope I have as good of luck as you have had with yours.I have done nothing! I only fill my guns, not large bottles.......My largest gun has a 480cc bottle.

If I were in the market for a new unit, I would be more than confident to purchase the CS4..... I have read nothing but solid reviewsSo there are at least some differences. I think I’ll just pick up a CS4 and hope I have as good of luck as you have had with yours.
