Hill 3000 (310) or JTS Comp100 compressor for FX Impact M4 & buddy bottles?

Hello world,

This is my first post here.

I’m diving into the deep end of (hopefully) quality airgun items.

I currently have an Umarex Origin kit with the pump. I’m retired. I’m done pumping haha.

I have a Ninja EZ PCP 90ci 4500 Carbon Fiber Air Tank which is handy - but there is no way for me to fill it other than a half hour drive to the paintball shop, which got old quick.

I am buying a FX Impact M4 Standard in that nice copper color. It he a 480cc tank that fills to 3625psi/250 bar.

I’ve narrowed down my compressor search to the Hill 310, or the JTS Comp100.

Fill speed isn’t as important to me as the long term durability of the pump, which is why I’m leaning towards the Hill. It just appears as if it would stress itself less, and I love the idea of that auto purge valve.

I’d appreciate any insights from those of you have used one of both of these as to the issues you’ve had, ease of maintenance, long term use, etc. any information would be appreciated!

Thanks for your time!

I have a Hill 310 and the GX version of the JTS compressor you mention

The JTS looks exatly like a rebranded GX CS4...not sure why they are so much more. Yeah, just get a GX

The hill is a great pump and I personally don't have anything negative to say about it. The digital display is nice, especially if you plan on direct filling. But it's twice as much as a GX CS4 and it's not something that I'd want to fill larger tanks w...even though it supposedly can handle it.

It seems as this is the guy to get from the input I’ve gotten here. I always look for a code :) Thanks for the link and input!

I'm not 100% sure if one pays for the JTS "tax" or are there significant changes between the two?

My JTS = GX CS3.......If I'm not mistaken the JTS had more options. Was it worth the extra paid? I don't know!

I understand the “branding increase” that can occur with items. How long have you had yours?

Have you had any problems? What maintenance have you done, other than adding more grease I’d assume?
I have done nothing! I only fill my guns, not large bottles.......My largest gun has a 480cc bottle.

I just finished looking at the GX CS3 video and two things I notice are different to my JTS unit is, mine has an actual exhaust pipe that exits the unit and there is also a clear whiteish pex hose that exits the moisture built up in the unit.......I have yet to see any moisture come out the hose or the exhaust to have any heat. Literally, I could stick my tongue on the exhaust after I fill my 480cc tank.

The new model JTS is a larger unit that matches the GX CS4.......Are they the exact unit, I have no idea.

I'm not telling or suggesting anyone to purchase the JTS unit! I honestly don't know if its worth the extra cost or not? All I know, I have gotten more than my monies worth so far and can honestly say, I have no idea how much longer it will continue on?

OK, I found the GX CS4 shipped for $495 after discount.

What grease is recommended? Some kind of pure silicone?

What type of coolant?

What have you all been using for water control in the air line?
GX should be able to answer these questions for you.. I would follow their suggestions before anyone else's.

So there are at least some differences. I think I’ll just pick up a CS4 and hope I have as good of luck as you have had with yours.
