Gee folks I tried to fill to 250 bar in 50 degree F today and my Hill EC-3000 never made it. Only five hrs on it. Does not use oil. Gutless creature. Don't buy one. They look really nice. In the pictures. Again....gutless. ForTrade. For sale.

I bought one, lasted 10 minutes if that. Returned it and got a replacement, it made it maybe 5 minutes.

I've had a Hill EC-3000 for over three years and it's still running strong. I admit, I like and use the GX CS4 more, but the Hill has not given me any problems.

I've had one now for 3 years as well..have had a few issues with it but Hill Support is really good. Just did the 50hr maintance on it over weekend. takes about 1.5 hrs to fill my 45min scba tank from 3000psi to 4400psi

I use mine to top off my out of date tanks . At around the 3000 psi mark. It goes into the cool-down cycle a few times. Sure looks pretty. English craftmansshop.

I guess there’s good and bad in all products. I had one with a firmware problem and they fixed it and I’ve had no problems for 35 hours of use. I went through the Chinese compressors and had all I could take of them. I have a Coltri that I use the most. It took a lot of time to get to the better compressors!

My Hill leaks air from around the bleed screw and loses back most of the air during the cooling cycle. I also have the secondary in line water filter sold for it. Its going thru two water filters. It starts to lose it a little after 195-200 bar. It starts looping around in the cooling cycle (with no gain) after that.

It takes 1.5 hours to top off a 45 min SCBA tank? Is this compressor made to directly fill airguns? Man that fill time with these failure stories, I dunno about this one.

Anyone know where to buy EC 3000 parts? Besides the airgun dealers. Do they have north American distribution ? I need the top valve and probably a piston seal.

I bought their 2nd filter directly from Hill as well as the 50 hour maintenance kit. They were prompt and professional. For the EC-3000, they have always said that it was for filling up rifles and that's what I use mine for. Apparently the newer EVO model will top off tanks according to their literature.

Thanks , Im talking with the factory now. I will post what they decide to do. My pump is gushing air from the bleed screw at around 195 bar.
