Hill EVO-310 Air Compressor

I studied up on this Hill compressor, as I was considering it.

The EVO-310 is supposed to be the latest version - it has some updates over its predecessor - the EC-3000.

The Hill pumps are made in England. They seem to have a good support team - but they are “across the pond”.

The EC-3000 has originally intended just to fill rifles.

The EVO-310 has updates/upgrades that supposedly allow filling of smaller tanks.

I watched a YouTube review of a guy using the EVO-310 to fill a 6.8l. The pump seemed to struggle a bit with a tank that size. It took a long time - although the total time included numerous shut downs - the Hill seems super smart and shuts itself off for “cooling cycles” when filling the 6.8l tank. When the temp drops it starts itself up automatically until eventually the desired fill pressure is reached. You use a touch screen interface to set your desired fill pressure.

When I find the video link I’ll post it here.

Found it:

He calls it the EC-3000 EVO… he’s kinda combining both versions into one, lol.

I have a Hill EC-3000, I've had it about 3 years. I got it before Air Venturi started putting their name in them, but it's essentially the same compressor. Unless there has been some major changes, they are not intended to fill large tanks. I use mine just to fill my guns and it does a good job at that, but will shut down and cycle if I fill my 580cc tank on my SK-19 from empty.

If you want something that's made to fill larger tanks, I suggest you check out the GX Pump line, specifically the CS4 and 5K1.

Both will fill a 6.8L tank is one session and not break a sweat!
