So, I used pumps years ago and quickly switched to a SCUBA tank and then on to an SCBA tank. I ended up buying another pump as back up, but ended up selling. My pump experience has been an old Axsor pump and a couple of Benjamin pumps. I have been selling off airguns and equipment lately in an attempt to simplify my airgunning down to guns I actually shoot. I have a nice compressor and decided to sell off all but my larger SCBA tank. I finally made the decision that a good quality hand pump should be in my collection as a backup and maybe a sole means of filling my guns if that zombie thing ever happens!! LOL!!
Seriously though, I got to thinking a pump is a great backup so I ordered a Hill MK4. Also got some rebuild kits to have on hand. I have to say WOW!! Not saying I am not using my compressor and tank anymore, but what a difference compared to a Benji or even the old Axsor.
I filled a couple of guns just to make sure it works properly. Much smoother and easier than my previous pumps. After owning a couple Benji's, I would urge anyone looking for a pump to spend a little extra as it will be worth it. Mine is just for a rainy day, but if I had no choice but to pump, I would not want the Benji over the Hill even for the price difference!! A much better quality pump!!
