Tuning Hm 1000x tuning and mods

Not yet I'll be testing it this weekend probably Sunday so I will have some results for you I also have a heavier valve spring to try out also . I'm going to try the 150 bar with stock valve spring first and go from there hopefully I won't have to try to find a different spring if I do I'll just have to do some research I guess to get a few springs

Also hoping my chassis won't take to long to get back should look pretty good once it is all done and tuned . So far it has been a fun project . My next project I have is my newer mk2 impact I bought just before the Mavericks came out I've got 500 mm 22 500 mm 25 superior and slug A 500 mm 30cal superior also my gun came with 22 500 mm but the case has a 25 cal 500 mm sticker on the outside of it so I think they switched barrels and sent it out since I called about it several times want to get some base tunes for all 3 barrel kits

Well shimmed the ssg and set it to .030 free flight took 1 gram off the hammer to clean it up my tooling on lathe got dull so it didn't look so good now hammer is 10 grams lighter than stock did a couple test shots at 150 bar 1001 1002 and blew internals out of the moderator so I'm going to drill and tap 4 set screws in it and thin down my spacer on the ssg and see what happens wasn't expecting that lol

Put the moderator back on with 4 4-40 set screws trimmed my shim .050 reassembled with .030 ssg gap got 998 ended up trimming the spring one coil for .169 less of tension still well over 900 fps and a 30 es so I removed ptfe in the hammer channel messed with ssg gap some ended up with 958 to 934 for a spread on 12 shots I need to make my spring shorter and make a shim so I get same ssg length with less tension set the gap to .020 on the ssg and try again the shots are more of a pulse now so they are using less air but the valve mod I did makes power easier to reach that is for sure I'm probably going to look for a heavier valve spring also unless I lighten the hammer more which I could take out from the inside of it . I may try the original raw spring again and see since the valve mod made it seem even easier to make power I'll look for some heavier spring for the valve to

I know that will work but kinda wanted it to be last resort but I guess it doesn't really matter how to get it under control as long as shot count is there I think I'll just make a press in fit with peek or derlin and pull the barrel out put down in under barrel and tap it into place barrel can hold it into place if need be I can always drill it out bigger to if I need to I think that would be the easiest to do instead of making it fit into the valve

I hope you got benefits of efficient valve. Now you need to get a bit tighter valve spring and if even then ES is not good you may decrease the TP very lightly.

But you should start with heavier valve spring.

Delrin etc may not work in TP. It may melt.

Well I have got a couple springs that I have found decided to change transfer port first so I didn't have to degass and disassemble to far I made a peek inset for above the valve under the barrel tapped it into place it has a .170 hole in it 150 bar reg .020 gap on the ssg 3000 psi fill just to test 12 shots got 894 to 882 12 fps spread if it weren't for that one low one it would only be 6 fps spread so it looks pretty good and haven't tested the springs yet 12 shots used about 400 psi according to my big liquid filled gauge
