In another thread I post about messing up my reseal and being stuck on getting the rifle back apart. That got worked out so I am starting a new thread to hopefully simplify someone searching for this issue in the future.

Rifle is a 2015 build HM1000 and spent the last few years in a gun case in the back of a truck, so lots of temperature swings. When I first charged it the rifle leaked slowly. Enough to hear it but slow enough to shoot it some. Thing is accurate! I ordered a seal kit from RAW and replaced the orings. Nothing else.

Problem is the bottle will fill and hold air but the air is NOT making it into the regulator or to the valve. The gauge shows pressure.

I have searched and everything I find I about leaks and nothing mentions this particular problem. If an isolated problem nobody has ever had before I am the guy that will have it. 😂

I did not take the washer stack off the regulator. Just replaced the orings.

When you install the regulator, make sure that you do not use the lock nut to screw it in or take it out. You need to use a nylon grip pliers on that knurled diameter. Some of the newer regulators have small flats opposing each other for use with a wrench for removal. Is the o ring by the knurled ring fully seated in the bore. If air is not getting to the chamber it most likely has to do with the assembly of the regulator or the installation of the regulator. Also, some regulators do not have that large O ring near the knurled ring, depends on which design you require. You haven't removed the barrel have you? the port may not be in proper alignment. Just a couple of ideas to look at.

Hindsight ....
One needs to measure with a caliper the TOTAL length of the reg body and spool/bevel assembly BEFORE taking reg apart.

Said ....
If you DID NOT touch the bevel preload stack adjuster nut, just unscrewing the assembly at the knurled collar your likely issue is this :unsure:
Being the knurled collar is now down tighter than it was previous. Generally once o-ring under collar is touching the body only about a turn of preload on o-ring is used. ( The collar itself NEVER is tightened against the SS body :mad:

If this is done, whats happened is the seat height has been nearly or completely eliminated and regs seat will be closed under very low pressure or won't flow at all.

IMO ....

Thanks Scott. I did measure it before starting. Took it back apart again, reassembled. It is now shooting and doing 750fps with .177 JSB 10.34. There was a dope sheet with the rifle saying 850 fps but without a reg tester I am just going off my measurement when i disassembled it.

Wild, glad you got it shooting via Scott's intel! Maybe you can ask Martin for a measurement for reg pressure to get an approximation for speed then adjust from there.

Absolutely. I may just send it in.

I have resealed most of my rifles with exception of some stuff AZ has done that I just have no idea what he has done.

With this rifle I just thought a quick oring change and it would be back up and running. Even the reg depth in the in the body. It was finger tight when I disassembled and that was how I put it back with the measurement I had taken. Not sure what I changed or got out of whack.

I appreciate all the support from the forum.

It held over night and got a chance to do some shooting this afternoon. I have a nice selection of accurate field target rifles and this thing is right there with them. The trigger is awesome.

I don’t know if the carbon fiber shroud does anything for the accuracy but if I had one knock it would be the noise. It has much more of a pop than my other rifles of similar power. It’s not loud per say, still easily backyard friendly just not mouse quite like my others.

The stock is incredibly comfortable. I can not wait to get this out on the ft course.

Ok, I cracked it open again and upped the reg pressure. Not sure to what, just going off velocity. Was shooting for 850 but ended up at 890 with the hammer adjustment flush with the back of the action. Will have to do some testing to figure out what this looks like for shot count and working pressure range.

The dope sheet that was taped to the stock had 850 fps.

But the first 20 or so shots I took just to test printed nice and tight. 🤗🤗🤗

Like Motorhead said above...perfect tune/speed WITHOUT any other reg testing tools! Awesome work wildcj! Dang....if that was me adjusting that reg with no tester...danger danger Will Robinson....😂!
