RAW Rapid HM1000X FPS question

If you are getting a single hole at 40yards ...why change anything?

But, if you really want to tinker around, and not mess it all up.... get a second regulator.
Keep one on the original settings and play around with the second.
write it down or take pictures of your adjustments ..keep records as a tuning guide for yourself
If you screw up bad ...just put back in the original regulator

i'd still leave it as is

Really not wanting to change anything, just kind of figured I’d ask about other experiences with it to even see if it was necessary.
I’m gathering from most that it’s not.
Going to stretch it out later this week to around 75 and call it good.

The hammer strike needs to match the regulator pressure to produce consistent results like you are seeing. You can use just the hammer spring tension to lower velocity. However if you do only that you are going to see that shot to shot consistency disappear if you lower it more than a tiny bit. To maintain consistency both hammer and reg need to be moved down together. RAW didn’t really make doing that super convenient.

Down the hill in polk nc now . Used to be in little river towards Pisgah . Trout fished north mills all the time years ago . Probably 1 hour and a half down 26 . If you find yourself in a jam with your reg and need a rebuild or advice reach out in the pm's and I could maybe make a run up the grade to lend a hand. Small world indeed . ;):coffee:

Yes it’s great to have someone offer help along the way!
I try to pay it forward in my line of work which is Auto/Boat restoration.
Try to take time to teach my skills to the younger ones that are willing to learn.
That’s getting scarce nowadays!
