RAW Rapid HM1000X Hammer Spring

Thanks! Great information. I think all of the air rifle manufacturers are actually owned by the pellet manufacturers! I can go through 1,000 pellets just to determine if my settings match my suppositions! I think those that control wind all over the world are in on it also!
You're so welcome and your theory is sound...I am in agreement....😂👍🥳

I have my reg turned way down (Huma Reg), I had it set to 140 or 150 and was shooting .22 pellets at 1010fps so I turned the reg down to 110bar to get the pellets shooting closer to 920-930 with the hammer spring about right in the middle of the travel. Backing it all the way out makes just about no difference in fps for some reason. I turned it in a little just to see if it changes the velocity and it doesn't seem to do anything. Martin said that there is no difference in hammer springs between the .22 and .25 RAW's.

Your at max velocity for the reg pressure

Does the Huma reg for RAW HM1000X have pressure settings inscribed on it - if not, how are you determining the reg pressure setting?

I’ll be interested in the answer to your questions about reg pressure. I just got my RAW and was curios about the reg pressure. I spoke with UtahAirguns about it. Since there is only one manometer on my HM 1000x I asked them how to know I was not shooting the gun below the reg pressure. The answer was when the velocity starts to drop that’s where the reg is set at. I was concerned about doing damage to the reg by shooting it below the reg pressure set value.

No they dont. The packaging has the test pressure that it comes set at on it. Mine was 138 Bar. Then the instructions on the website tell you how much adjustment gives how much it changes bar pressure.

You won’t do any damage to the rifle shooting it below the regulator pressure setting. You will notice that velocity will drop off considerably as the pressure drops.

Well I have waited a few days to post this because I don’t want to ruffle any feathers of the members. So my other pcp is an Fx M3 and they clearly state in the manual that shooting the gun below the reg pressure will damage the regulator. Knowing this and wondering if it applies to the RAW spurred me to call Utah air and ask. They said that shooting below the reg pressure is not good for the gun. A few time won’t hurt but regularly doing it could cause damage. So I’m not sure who is right about this but I’m thinking of not shooting my raw when it’s below the reg pressure.

That's because they are used to FX. Shooting below reg pressure should NEVER damage a gun period. Unless maybe your reg is say set at 150 bar and still shooting it at 80 bar and just slamming the hammer into the valve. But should be no problem to shoot at least 20 bar below reg pressure or even more. If it is an issue then that gun should be redesigned.

Below is an image of the FX trigger sear.

I'm surprised the FX manual doesn't have a warning about pulling the trigger and breaking the sear. Damaging the regulator by shooting below the reg point seems absolutely ridiculous. The fragility of some aspects of the FX guns baffles me???

Dairyboy is right on about the RAW (and most other) regs. Shooting below the reg point won't damage the reg, with the exception that he already pointed out.

Curiosity is killing me...How in the world did that happen to that fx sear .? I have never ever seen anything like that.

Nothing happened to it, THAT is one of the trigger sears from the Dreamline, Streamline, Wildcats, etc... It's shown in the parts diagrams. It's the weakest sear I've ever seen in any airgun. The funny thing is that I've never heard of one failing despite how weak it looks. FX must know their stuff. Stil though... that thing is so wimpy looking! :p

is the Huma reg a worthwhile upgrade. nI have a microhunter hm1000x and factory reg adjustment iscomplex compared to the Huma 1174 and im thinking about upgrading...

50m. Group size 1in and larger. Always a flyer or two to every 5 shot group. 25.39gr JSB Monsters. Tried 830fps avg, 870fps avg, 940fps avg and no luck. I have an Eagle Vision Air Stripper on the barrel. When I remove it, it gets worse.

This is all in a full BR setup, Farley Rest and BR Rear Bag. I'm a Rimfire BR Shooter aswell so I know what can be acheived in a set condition and whats the expectation.

I have a few more things to try still however.

I love the jsb 22cal 25RDs but they are bad about flyers. I just hunt with mine now. I have tried in raws, red wolfs and my k1 and it will stack them and throw a couple every time. I had some of the 28gr grands I tried in my k1 but they would not group good at 50 and my SD was 1.6 for 38 shots. So you know. Like me just because the gun is tuned for the pellet doesn't mean it likes unfortunately. If you are wanting to stick with softer lead pellets try the new monster lights 20.8gr. My k1 shoots them really well at 50yds.

Try AEA .25cals, I get smaller groups and don’t get the flyers like I do with the current JSB
