A few people have commented on my shooting area, so I thought I would post some pictures. I’m damn lucky that I can shoot at my house and my neighbors have been great about it. My house has woods around the back and side. This let’s me stretch my shooting out. 

I’m standing in front of my shooting table. The targets on the left are at 50 yards, half way down on the right is 75 yards. The targets all the way down are at 100 yards. 


Here’s a close up of my 100 yard targets. 

Pictures are a little fuzzy. It’s rain pretty hard today. 


If I move my table about 20 feet I can then shoot across a small lake. I have a steel gong hung on a tree. Depending on where I put the table, distance is anywhere between 205 and 240 yards.

It’s hard to see. But the steel plate is hanging on the tree to the left of the rock. Heavy rain makes the picture blurry. 
Out past my 100 yard target I set up a small shooting bench to shoot long range. This one is set up right at the waters edge. I have a steel plate hung at 310 yards. It looks like I can hang another one to stretch out to 350 yards.

I’m lucky to be able to shoot like this in and around my yard. I keep my guns as quiet as possible, pick up any trash, and make my steel plates blend in with the shore.

I’m afraid it wasn’t me. I don’t have a scope cam mount. Funny thing is, past 300 yards I can’t even see where I hit. Just hear the thud from the steel plate.

Yeah sorry it was the UpNorthAirGunner channel. The shooting across water was what fooled me. You are fortunate to have that nature right out your backdoor though.

That’s and awesome range and it doesn’t get much more scenic than that. Awesome! Having a nice range like that makes shooting so much easier and more convenient. Our ranch is only 5 minutes from our house, we have two permanent shooting benches and targets at 50, 75, 90, 100, 120, 135, 165 and 210yds. Turn the benches around and we have centerfire targets out to 800yds. We shoot 3-4 times more often now that we have a permanent range set up 5 minutes away! Have a good one.

Awesome setup, thanks for sharing. Those of us shooting out our back door for 20-30 yards are drooling!!! You must be proud- I'm sure you worked hard to get where you are.

My next piece of real estate is definitely going to be pellet shooting friendly- but I couldn't hope for a setup like that in a million years.

If you can believe it I live in New Jersey. Contrary to what people think, NJ actually has areas that are rural. We also have all the crap the everyone hears about. Lol

Fishing is hit or miss. The lake is stuffed full of snapping turtles. We’ve seen them as big as a 17” shell. I think they clean out the fish. Lol

Yep, an overabundance of turtles are one of best ways to ruin a good fishing hole.
