That's a great looking stock. I've made a few but none specifically for benchrest. I've glass bedded PB stocks but never an air rifle stock. Glass bedding is sometimes only done on the recoil lug area and the purpose is to get good solid and uniform contact of the action and possibly the barrel to the stock. Some free float the barrel, others like some contact. Pillar bedding a bascially a thick walled tube (pillar) embedded in the stock for the bolts holding the action to the stock to pass through. It makes the bolting of the stock to the action more uniform since the thick walled tube is essentially not compressible, unlike wood. If it's done on Thomas rifles there must be a benefit. I've been thinking it wouldn't be much benefit since there is nearly no recoil and the pressure pulse of the firing is much less and the barrel doesn't typically contact the stock. But I guess we are still dealing with a vibratory response in the gun that needs to be consistent shot to shot. I should probably at least be using my torque screwdriver on the action bolts.
