I've noticed that I have been hunching my shoulders flinching bad before I take a shot. I really noticed it today when I didn't pull the trigger with enough pressure. What are some of your techniques to have a smooth trigger pull?
I'm using the arken 1 piece mount I think it's high not sure. Are you hunching due to your scope not being high enough for a comfortable cheek weld? I ask from personal experience. When I went to higher rings, even IF my shoulders were hunched, my accuracy was much better.
Burrrrpp, slosh slosh ping...oops, darn.a 2 liter of mountain dew always gets me focused lol ...
Not good to hold breath after an inhale. Creates tension in the body & stronger heartbeat. I learned to hold after an exhalation & shoot in between heartbeats, like snipers are trained to do.SimpleGuy, if you are shooting a PCP then practice just shooting air (no ammo) , however if you are shooting a spring gun you must not shoot it without ammo, teach yourself a breathing technique, as in take a deep breath , hold it , the squeeze the trigger. Hope this helps

I'll try that method I was doing the oppositeNot good to hold breath after an inhale. Creates tension in the body & stronger heartbeat. I learned to hold after an exhalation & shoot in between heartbeats, like snipers are trained to do.
Actually a traditional breathing control method with PB's that I've heard for years is exhale halfway and hold breath to shoot. I have been exhaling fully then shooting. It removes all muscle tension caused from the diaphram and you'll have more than enough O2 in your system with empty lungs for about 15 seconds to take the shot. Worked for me better than the "half full" lungs method.I'll try that method I was doing the opposite
Will try this as wellActually a traditional breathing control method with PB's that I've heard for years is exhale halfway and hold breath to shoot. I have been exhaling fully then shooting. Also get your trigger pull to a decent light weight but more importantly a crisp consistent break. Trigger inconsistency can be a flinch issue. Regards
Will trybreath normally and at the bottom of exhale but before you inhale ease the trigger back . Do not stop breathing jus time the trigger at the bottom
I pull through at the bottom of my breath. That's how my drill sergeant taught me.Not good to hold breath after an inhale. Creates tension in the body & stronger heartbeat. I learned to hold after an exhalation & shoot in between heartbeats, like snipers are trained to do.
