I have a mix of HOSPs and finches here, so to be safe, I shoot the male HOSPs only. Easy to identify, and when you eliminate the males, the females will disperse.

I do some bird watching, occasionally pesting, those seem to be a combination of native sparrows and house finch females. House finch males are quite obvious. The sparrow with the brown striations along the chest and belly are song sparrows. They are in breeding season and get quite rowdy.
