The ones i´ve been into for instance have a valve out of a material that´s got to be recycled Coke cans from far east Asia. Cough at it and it´ll strip threads and what not.
Barrels are decent though, but the general build, IMO, is juuuust to keep the thing together. Fact is, i´ve had one come apart even upon firing. Most likely due worn threads beneath the mag well and out rear i guess.
The other guns you bring up truly are a mile apart from the Stormrider/PR-900
If you in turn take a look at the "successor" for the PR which is just sliiiiiightly more expensive, the Snowpeak T-Rex carbine, it´s like night and day. Build Q, materials and design are not up a couple of notches but three entire ladders.
With that said that Snowpeak sure CAN produce decent PCP´s no doubt. The Stormrider/PR though is IMO on the very edge on many counts.
Irony of it is that i´m admin for the PR/Stormrider page on FB!
