Diana How a stormrider should be

@Racing , As an old air gun Noob with a Stormrider what about its design as a PCP do you consider "weak" vs what other PCP design(s). I currently have an early 2-piece stock AA S200, FX Streamline and a Notos besides the Stormrider, with a Reximex RP inbound from PA shortly. Would you consider any of those a "strong" design and why? Just an old guy trying to learn something new here before the long nap:)
I think he means weak pertaining to their power level vs shot count, no so much in their durability.

It's just such a small platform to try and build power out of.

@ Graycrait.

The ones i´ve been into for instance have a valve out of a material that´s got to be recycled Coke cans from far east Asia. Cough at it and it´ll strip threads and what not.
Barrels are decent though, but the general build, IMO, is juuuust to keep the thing together. Fact is, i´ve had one come apart even upon firing. Most likely due worn threads beneath the mag well and out rear i guess.

The other guns you bring up truly are a mile apart from the Stormrider/PR-900

If you in turn take a look at the "successor" for the PR which is just sliiiiiightly more expensive, the Snowpeak T-Rex carbine, it´s like night and day. Build Q, materials and design are not up a couple of notches but three entire ladders.
With that said that Snowpeak sure CAN produce decent PCP´s no doubt. The Stormrider/PR though is IMO on the very edge on many counts.

Irony of it is that i´m admin for the PR/Stormrider page on FB! :ROFLMAO:

Ok, had a little time today to pull the barrel and cut off 2 more inches to bring the moderator back where my OCD wanted it.

It is now a whopping 32" OAL, and 24" with the stock folded. Set up for 4 mags at 15.5 FPE with Hades. I also swapped out my sniper 3-9x32 scope for a BSA Sweet 2-7x32 for smaller, lighter rig.

Still giving me nickel sized groups at 30 yards which is all it's going to be pushed too.
