Recently tried some hades for the first time and I was impressed with the accuracy. I shot out to 70 yards on a can and was hitting it consistently. What's the furthest you've shot the hades?

48 yards is the farthest I've shot, and they are just as accurate as the JSB 15.89s out of my Daystate Regal XL.
The first couple of squirrels I took with them the expansion was impressive, but after that not so much. I gave a tin to a friend for his Marauder and he didn't see any expansion either.
Too many pass throughs, I went back to H&N Hunters.
edit: I haven't had much luck with the .177s in my HW100BP-K, but I'm still experimenting.

I've shot them at paper out to 100 yards at a starting fpe of 28-29.
They didn't do so well. The wind was really grabbing them, much more noticeably than the regular JSB 15.89s. They also seems to take a lot longer to get there, like they're stripping fps FAST.
Here is the comparison, shot back to back so very similar wind conditions.
And it wasn't a bad pellet/barrel combination b/c the Hades did nice little bugholes at 55 and under yards.

Silly accurate from my Crown. Not much expansion even at 960fps in 22. Going to switch to barracuda hunters

Just shot .25 Hades to 80 yards @810 FPS with 5-10 mph wind and still very accurate and consistent. Rather impressed since everyone says it’s not good in the wind.

They are very accurate for me(hades .25), but do get pushed around in the wind a bit more. I find they stay easily minute of sparrow within 85 yards, but they get pushed about double the wind holdovers when compared to the mk1 heavy for me. Example: @ 85 yards w 10mph crosswind id hold 1 dot for mk1 heavies in a 10mph crosswind, that same shot would require around 2 dots wind holdover for the hades. They are consistent, but they do move more... this is out of a taipan vet w the hades doing 860 and the mk1s doing 800. My honest line with them is wind above 10mph go with jsb heavies or slugs... light winds(<10) make them pop with the hades! They cause so much more devastation when compared with regular domes and even hp slugs in my experience, even at lower speeds!

I find the .22s to be excellent shooters out the guns I've tried. Never tried at 100yds but out to 75yds pretty darn good. The .177s I tried were a joke out of the Edgun R5M which liked anything else JSB so go figure. But yeah there BCs aren't good at all.

From every thread I have read the Hades are great inside 50 yards. Past that they start spreading out. I haven't shot them past 50y but inside 50 yards in .22 they have just as accurate as the .22 JSB 15.9gr.

I'm finding that the Hades .25 are shooting very accurately out of my 700mm superior liner. I haven't been shooting paper to show but there is a log in my woods I lasered at 101 yards and I'm able to blast these little yellow leaves of it very consistently. To be honest I was shocked seeing this after hearing everyone say they were not good at long distances. I'm shooting them about 940fps and seems to be a good speed for my gun. The wind does make them drift a little more than others but just need to anticipate that.

I only tried the .177 n they shoot as great as the jsb 10,34g ..from the 177 cricket compact..

I haven't tried the Hades beyond 60 yds yet, but at that range the accuracy seems very good. That is my average squirrel distance. I have the new Superior 600mm liner for my .25 cal Crown and have been trying out various pellets. I get an average group of 5/8" with the Hades and Baracuda Hunter at that distance. One thing I did find though is I get an ave. muzzle velocity with Hades of 890 fps. The Baracuda Hunter around 897 fps. I set my chronograph at 60 yd and the Hades is averaging 700 fps while the Baracuda Hunter averages 721 fps. The Hades seems to be dropping velocity at distance a little more.
As a comparison, I have been also shooting NSA 33.5 gr slugs. The 60 yd accuracy is about the same as Hades and Hunters, but one thing of of notice is the muzzle velocity for the NSA slugs is ave. 809 fps and the 60 yd velocity is 724 fps. That amounts to a lot more energy at that distance. I can't wait to try them on ground squirrels. Unfortunately that will have to wait till Spring.

In. 22 they are accurate to around 70 yards at 30ftlbs out of my Wolverine R. In. 25 they were okay out of the superior 700mm liner out to 70 yards but after watching Ted's experiment I tried them in the slug A liner and they were fantastic out to 100 yards which was the max I shot them at. I was shooting out the superior at 890 ftps but they could go much faster out the slug A with no ill effect. I think I had them at around 920 to 930ftps for best results. Having said all this the groups at 50 yards with the superior were minute of squirrel so still acceptable. Overall a great pellet from jsb in. 22 and. 25.

The hades are accurate but the expansion is horrible! To my findings if you don't connect with bone its a pass through. Polymags are still my go to hunting pellet!

I’ve had amazing accuracy with the hades out of my hatsan at -44 qe10 in .22 and my AA rsn 70. I’ve taken the hatsan to 100yds. I was getting about 2”-2.5” groups and I’ve taken my Rsn 70 to 50yds, it’s 1/2” at 50. Great pellet for accuracy. The expansion is good if you’re shooting within 25yds with my experience.

Am I misunderstanding in finding a paradox in their use? I've been reading that they expand great if you can shoot them hard enough, which not every gun is set to do or maybe even can do. But then that if they go too fast they will pass through without expanding.
It sounds like you have to be tuned for them just right, so they hit hard enough to dump their energy and not pass through?
I got some but haven't tested them out yet. I'm curious if they will do what I need. I have a power-tuned cricket, but my Prod and Avengers are stock.
