N/A How accurate is a TX200.

About 1500 pellets ago I put a new spring in my TX. It took about a half tin of pellets to get to near normal accuracy. I have had the feeling since its just not where it usually has been. 2 best pellets are AA 8.4 in .452 and JBS 8.44 also in .452. I decided to compare the pellets with five groups of each with 5 pellets per group. First thing I found out is probably why I think I lost a small amount of accuracy. Average velocity is 869 with both. I have decided to leave it there as we are going to have 50 yard matches this summer. I will shoot the LGU indoors at 760. Ok the aggregate 5 x5 groups measured center to center at 20 meters...JSB .209.....AA .278. The JSB 8.44, .452 appears to be the choice for all my springers. Works for me. In the 2 fifty yards matches I shot and won last years I chose the AA 10.1 for the added weight as it is close to the other two at 20 meters. I felt it would help fight the wind and that seemed to work out.

No,Vorteck 12 kit. Must be a long one. I'll just keep it as is for now for 50 yds. I tried .453, no go, the .452 seems to be the answer. What I started to notice, I usually shoot a lot of 4 in one tiny hole and then one leaked out. Now they are more globs. The group with the x is because the AR bangers got to me with their blast. They didn't hit much but made a lot of noise.

My TX200 with a 12fpe Vortek kit likes the JTS 10.4 and the JSB 10.3 in that order. With accuracy similar to yours. You may be "splitting hairs" since your groups are excellent. But if you are competing, you have more experience than I. I just shoot in my backyard ;-). But if you have never tried the heavier pellets mentioned, you may be surprised at their accuracy and they are, theoretically at least, more stable in the wind. Cheers!

I have shot the 10.3s, and it shoots them pretty well. It's what I used at 50yd matches last summer. I have not shot any JTS in .177 but I am about to place an order and will get some. The JTS in .22 in my Diana 54 are superb, just make a hole. FTT never give me small groups in any of my guns, just mediocre.
Yes I have change breech seals.

Is the .452 size inches or millimeters?
If its a metric size then it should be 4.52mm, because .452mm is a tenth of the size of a .177".

Sounds like your TX200 is a bit hot at 870. Have you tried it at 800 fpe? The shot cycle is very smooth at 12 fpe and the rifle is more accurate than I am at that speed. This guy has some nice kits.

It has always been 800 to 820 with the previous springs. Before I back it down I want to test it against the other guns I might use at 50 yds. For now I will replace it with my LGU at 760. I have not shot it at 50 yet at with 10.3 AA which worked well in the wind last summer, I think the 2.2 extra grains will get me to 800. I will check that out later this week. Don't forget I am a 6ppc shooter in the 70,000 psi range. Hot is where it's at,😛.

Those guys at my range are into double tap , very fast , how do they hit anything ? i see the poi around 6 inches apart in the dirt berm .

I run 4.52 head AA 10.3 Field Heavy sorted to 1/10th grain. AA 8.4 run well but are more affected by the wind. I run FAC spring with 3mm spacer. The 10.3 run in the low 800's. I shoot mostly at 50-yards. It shots under 1" to .50" pretty consistently. I have some videos, here are a couple.
