How cold is to cold?

somewhat normal for Wisconsin, There have been times when it became a 6 hour white knuckle to get home less than 15 miles although that is fairly rare.
I've seen it, Mom lived in wasau for a while. But here its rare.. So you add in a bunch of people who've never seen snow or ice, and the added Hazard of Hills... lots and lots of hills, large and small. And it becomes the world's most dangerous and largest pinball game.

I've been seeing a bunch of squirrels from my window. Too cold for me personally but they are still out there running around, just not as much in this cold snap.
My cat has caught 2 flying squirrels in this cold weather snap. Little turd brings them in alive and lets them go.
I might go sit in my blind this afternoon and look for squirrels. I was in it the last 2 days of deer season this past Sat and Sun. It was brutally cold and all I saw were squirrels.

Edited to add that I've hunted down into the single digits with PCPs and haven't had an issue. I usually put the gun outside to acclimate as I start to get dressed. I also leave them out with scopes uncovered when I come back inside until they are room temp and then I'll wipe them down with a Ballistol soaked rag for safe keeping.

What temperature do you guys not even try to hunt squirrel? Debating whether to try tomorrow with the high around 30° low is 12°. Got the M4 back and is zipping these 10gr very efficient!

Below 25ºF is a bit much for me. Done it once or twice. Once the sun comes out clear of clouds and the treeline it's a little easier. The wind is the biggest impediment for me in cold weather.
