So I can see the classified section on here now but not sure if I can post any. I have never really known what is considered to be a "post". Is a reply a post or do I have to be the OP?

"Post" is reply, whether OP, or not, doesn't matter. Your numbers should well qualify you. Try using Classifieds is best way to know. WM

You might be on to something. I just check on my phone and I can do it there but I swear there was a tab on my chrome browser that's not there anymore.

I am new here, so I am sure I can help. LOL
I think the site is priv (attribute) based; it tracks your posts and once you hit a certain number, you get the option to post/create in the Classifieds. The screen capture above looks like a top level menu from clicking on Forums. If you select “Create” you need to select the forum to post (i.e. Classifieds). As a new member, I cannot.
If your browser doesn’t allow you to Post, you may not have the latest browser update, may not be logged in properly (assuming this is [edit: NOT - forgot the NOT] the case, if you posted here using the same browser), maybe have a cookie issue …

Top Level (with learning info):
Forum (with learning info) where I can Post - you should see this when you are in the Classified section (from what I gather):
New Member Classified Section (notice learning info and no ability to Post):
Top Level - Note that it looks like I can Create to Classifieds, but the Create option is attribute driven (I am not able to at this point); Create is a quick access vs having to go directly to a Forum (in Forum list):

It has to be a chrome issue, probably needs an update, it’s my work computer. I can post from my iPhone and I remember being able to on the computer, but don’t have that option now.

I have a similar issue. I only have the 'Create' button, but it doesn't give me the option to post in classifieds. - only other forums.
What is the criteria that has to be met to be able to post in classifieds? It said 10 posts before Private Messages, but didn't mention anything about classifieds. I built out the my profile to 100%

NVM all. Found the Classified rules which says I need 10 posts/replies AND 10 days before posting. I feel like I'm buying a firearm.... LOL

Interesting. I joined Dec 24 (for me, more of a being out of the “hobby” for a while vs trying to use the Classifieds) and have posted a bit (re-establishing myself so to speak and enjoying myself). After seeing this thread today, I checked and I am now able to post to the Classifieds.
My guess is that the owners, admins, long-time members want to be able to trust and depend on others when making transactions. In other words, just because you have been registered for 10+ days, don’t mean that you can post to the Classifieds (maybe it does, someone else can confirm). Instead, the general group wants people that are sincere about the hobby and are not likely to scam members. That means actual posting and interaction with the community …
Me? I joined to rekindle old fire, but not sure that I would sell anything out of my small (1 PCP, 3 Beeman springers) collection. I honestly have no idea what I would/will buy next. I think the bottom line is to enjoy AGN forums and in due time, you will be able to use the Classifieds.

As mentioned before, I am a newbie here. I think a quality post is one that gets “likes” - community interaction. Just replying to bump up a number may not count (if the backbone of this site uses some decent AI), but I have no idea. My reply and your “like” to it may help you out. LOL - IDK. Ah…. I did not know about the likes.
I understand the intent, it’s just difficult as I was very established back in the day when yellow forum was around and have been heavy in field target. Just put a pause on a lot of it due to focusing on family while the kids are still in the house.
