Yeah, deceptive practices are not good for any relationship :unsure: .
The only other thing I've handled in this manner is painting or using anything with a chemical smell. It doesn't bother me at all, but she can smell the smallest indiscretion and worry about it's ill affects for days.

You need to find a wife who allows you to buy all your airgun/toys. If she doesn't she ain't the one. My wife didn't care when I bought my $1300 compressor, $500 tank, $2000 impact, $200 worth of ammo, $500 scope, and thousands into my other hobbies like rc cars, helicopter, etc. She even help me pay for most of them.

Now that our son's grew up and college tuitions are gone and I do not have to buy cars to my son's, I am giving her money so she can buy as I do.

For many years all money went to support the family, now is time for my wife an my self to feel a little more freedom.

It's pretty even at my house. I don't say anything about the cosmetic surgeries and the many other things she buys, and she doesn't say anything about my gun and airgun collection. We used to argue about motorcycles, but I would go and buy what I wanted anyway and she would get over it. lol.
BTW, any women that ever thought she was going to be my 2nd mother, never made it to the 2nd date anyway. lol
