How far with a pellet?

My Atomic is shooting them at 725 FPS, the Pathfinder at 846 FPS.
Do you have the set-up plugged into a ballistics app, and if so, what BC are you using/seeing for actual to match predicted?

I'm curious to see what sort of BC they have that slow...I'd guess something like 0.027-0.032.

My farthest kill shots with my .177 Benjamin Fortitude Gen2 were at 75 yards. Before I got a range finder, I was calling it 75-80 yards.

I practiced for 3 weeks at that range, shooting Pears and even blades of grass, before I attempted any shots at the tree rats.

In all, I got 3 over several days time. Never had a miss and all were DRT heart shots.

I don't mind saying that I am proud of those 3 kills!

Haven't had the opportunity to try that shot again. Permissions and safety came in to play... (heavy sigh)

I have a sheet of steel at 130 yards and it’s a lot of fun shooting groups on it.
These are my two best groups I have ever shot with anything.
It’s a Rapid .20 caliber with a shroud made by Allen Zasadney.
He tuned it to shoot the 13.73 JSB at 860 and it is truly incredible.
It’s only possible in dead calm, if the flags are moving at all the groups are 3 or 4 inches or bigger.
I tried shooting the heavies and they were good but not as good as the light pellet.
I’m definitely not going to change the tune on this rifle lol.

I have recently tested my effective hunting range by attempting consistent five shot 20mm groups in real world conditions (specifically not too windy but not still either). I came to the conclusion my Crown in .25 shooting heavies at 870ftps was fine to 90 yards and my Cricket in .22 shooting Jumbos at 900ftps was fine to 70 yards. Appreciate these distances are well short of what some are doing but 20mm groups is my base line for hunting and I have other powder burning tools to push out further. In non hunting situations I have hit targets (coke or beer cans) quite consistently at up to 150 yards in relatively still conditions with my Crown, just not wanting to push the envelope when hunting. I should add days without wind are like hens teeth in Scotland lest anyone judge me too harshly......

I’d be more inclined to judge you harshly for shooting cans of Coke rather than Irn Bru.

I’ve been doing some testing off and on since I started this topic. My one .25 is spot on out to 115-120 yards. Moved to 136 yards and it was game over with a 27gr pellet. I can hit a can at that distance but I’m no longer grouping. The 33.95’s out of my RTI seemed to follow suit. At 135 I was not consistent. At 115 I can spin a 1.5” spinner 90% of the time. I don’t play games in the wind. All testing was in calm conditions.

Let’s all sit here and pretend we didn’t read @Vetmx saying that his shots beyond 180 yard become little paratroopers. 😅😅
I don’t think I’ve shot beyond 112 yards with pellets. That had to have been last year some time. I was shooting King Heavies from my Brocock Bantam Sniper HR. I don’t recall the velocity. I think they did ok being sent from someone who isn’t a long distance shooter.
