How many of us "name" their air rifles?

Y'all remember what Sandor Clegane told Ayria Stark about swords with names ? ;) I have many cool toys but only two with names. Russian Vostok YPAN Olympic .22 Target rifle- Rosa(for the famous and beautiful WWII sniper Rosa Shanina and a Finnish M28/76 Marksmanship/sniper rifle Mosin Nagant- Anika which is Finish for Unique.
Things of beauty, grace and speed should be referred to in the Feminine gender. I learned that from "Waldo" in a Little Rascals episode when I was a child.

Boy, I thought I was alone, when it comes to naming my guns... Vehicles too.

My two air rifle in 'play' now are - Ranger Dick (Ranger XR, 'cause unlike "Ranger Rick" he ain't friendly to all da critters in da forest ) and the Noisy Cricket (Kalibrgun's Cricket 2 Tact 60 30cal. 'Cause even suppressed, he pushes 50 grainers with a lot of 'bark' and I like the MIB movies:giggle:)

OK, I'll share this one too about a Jeep I once had, named "Bob"... 'Cause that's exactly what he did when I took him "swimming" in 4 feet of water, before he "come to rest" on da sandy bottom. And yes, I got him dried out, drove the Jeep for a few more years. Lesson here was, check the water before crossing... It may be deeper than the last time one crossed it. A hard lesson learned, 350 miles from home.

OK, I'll admit it. I'm somewhat of a geek, and all my guns are named... How about you? I'll go first:

.30 FX Bobcat Mk2 - Reaper
.30 Daystate Delta Wolf - White Fang
.25 FX Impact slugger - Death Dealer (it really likes schwacking ground squirrels long range)
.25 Daystate Red Wolf HP - Bullseye
.22 Daystate Red Wolf HP - Bleu
.22 Cricket mini Carbine - Gonzo
.22 Edgun R3 Long - Eddie (yeah, I know, not very original)
.177 Daystate Pulsar standard - Alpha Wolf (named WAY before DS came out with the Alpha Wolf platform)
.177 FX Dreamline Classic - LeStat
.257 AirForce Texan - Reacher
Every gun I build has its own moniker. ..
gives them credibility and responsibility for you to shoot them with accuracy 👍

Mike, I named mine Mike, Tony & Barb (the most accurate gun is Barb) :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: ;);)
Now Gerry, While I appreciate your honesty.... We all know that Luke never exceeded Master Yoda.... (in age or ability). While I will strive to one day beat my mentor (EBR next year??), it will still be known that the skills and interest I acquired were fully due to the schooling of Yoda (Mike) and his side kick Ben Kenobi (Tony). May the Force be with me! ;)

Just sent a PM to Tony about the respect/admiration I have for ALL 3 of you but Mike is our "Yoda"! BTW, Luke, I am your father!

Myself being a BIG Fan of the 1911's I'm Lovin' yours!!!

It’s a father/son gun. My son and I went to the LGS and I wasn’t planning on buying anything. They put one of these Kimbers (a plain one) out for us to look at because my son wanted to see it. Yeah, it was nice but I didn’t want a Kimber 1911 that day. Then they put this out on the counter. My 18 year old son picked it up and said “Dad, we need to buy this, please Dad, can we buy it?” What was I to say… :)

You're a good dad! (y) Hope now, you're both enjoying it. My Kimber will always be at my side. ;)

Dang right we are! He gets home from college in mid November and we’ll be warming up a bunch of guns, including The Donald and his Taurus 1911! Kimber makes some nice guns. I have a Kimber HS 22 that is my favorite of all my guns.

We have a couple other named rifles, my sons CVA Hunter in 45-70 is “The Bone Jarrer”, no explanation needed, and I have a CVA Cascade in 350 Legend called “Frank the Legend”. I was trying to buy one of these rifles and caliber for about a year, couldn’t find them and when I did find one and had it laid away the shop sold it out from under me. So my buddy Frank was at some kind of sportsman banquet where they were raffling off guns and one of these was in the raffle. Frank spent 80 dollars in raffle tickets trying to win it but didn’t. He was going to tease me about it when he won, you know how good friends are…. :). So, when I found mine and bought it I gave it the name “Frank, the Legend” and when I take it shooting I always start my Monday morning story with “I shot Frank this weekend”. I cast bullets and reload for it with components I bought 30 years ago so cost per shot is really cheap. I always remind Frank that I can shoot it 800 times for what he spent on raffle tickets!
