How many of us "name" their air rifles?

Dang right we are! He gets home from college in mid November and we’ll be warming up a bunch of guns, including The Donald and his Taurus 1911! Kimber makes some nice guns. I have a Kimber HS 22 that is my favorite of all my guns.

We have a couple other named rifles, my sons CVA Hunter in 45-70 is “The Bone Jarrer”, no explanation needed, and I have a CVA Cascade in 350 Legend called “Frank the Legend”. I was trying to buy one of these rifles and caliber for about a year, couldn’t find them and when I did find one and had it laid away the shop sold it out from under me. So my buddy Frank was at some kind of sportsman banquet where they were raffling off guns and one of these was in the raffle. Frank spent 80 dollars in raffle tickets trying to win it but didn’t. He was going to tease me about it when he won, you know how good friends are…. :). So, when I found mine and bought it I gave it the name “Frank, the Legend” and when I take it shooting I always start my Monday morning story with “I shot Frank this weekend”. I cast bullets and reload for it with components I bought 30 years ago so cost per shot is really cheap. I always remind Frank that I can shoot it 800 times for what he spent on raffle tickets!
:ROFLMAO: "Frank the Legend" too funny... I can hear Bob Marley singing "I shot the Frank..." Oh my brain sometimes. :ROFLMAO: Is it too much coffee, or not enough this morning?

I have a butt load of old lead wheel weights for casting. Now that I decided to retire early, I think I need a 45-70 to cast for. Sounds like fun and something to do other than sitting on the front porch with the morning coffee and an air rifle. :)

When one of my guns get a name it’s profanity based so I can’t post their names on this forum. Otherwise the names the manufacturers give them suffices.
Yeah me also with profanity based names, lol , but I have different levels. If it’s a mild anger issue, meaning clipping on the moderator I call it with my native Filipino tongue and it’s name is PUCKING CHIT.

If it really makes me mad like the reg starts bleeding air all of a sudden, well, it gets the correct way to say it, with mother involved

Same here. Named my kids after family and old girlfriends. Cat will be named DC, Dammed Cat!

I do a good job of naming home brews though.

I actually shot Frank today, 70 times. :) Make sure you learn about powder coating if you start casting again, (artfulbullet.com is a good place to learn) it makes shooting cast bullets a lot more fun!

Took my Impact for a walk through the woods today, Found out it’s heavy and quite hard to carry comfortably. Might just call it Quickrete…
