How many people own a chronograph?

I got the Caldwell unit from Cabela's and have shot it twice now, yet it still works good (consistent) despite some of the bad reviews. Once with a .30 pellet where the upper edge of the screen meets the case, ricocheting through and down, blowing the battery and other plastic bits out. And a second time, with a pretty decent grazing shot across the top back half of the unit with a .357 slug that creased the unit.

Yep. This works extremely well.

Does both meters per second and feet per second.

Can clamp on either bare barrel or moderator via included hoop clamp.

Never misses a shot. Has rechargeable battery inside.

Inexpensive. Available on Amazon.

This! Cheap easy and you don’t have to have good lighting.
I have come rely on it.

this works great , light ,doesn't take room to store and it is cheap (mine was $27 on amazon ) works every time .
I bought it.The price has gone up a its. I paid $32. It works but as the old adage goes you get what you pay for. I was at a range and compared it to a more expensive chronograph that had Bluetooth and talked back to you. It was very accurate compared to the more expensive one. If all you need is the FPS so you can tune your gun its works just fine. It does more but the UI is very clugi and not very friendly. I basically strapped it over the barrel and snug it down.

It is an invaluable piece of equipment if you have a PCP. Its an extremely important tool that in my book its more of a necessitity. I shoot three diffrent ammo types. Cheap Crossman Hollow Point 14g, FX 18g, H&N 23g Slug. All shoot very accurately when tuned to 880 for the FX, 923 for the Crossman and 892 for the H&N. If it wasnt for the Chrono it would be impossible to get decent groups.

Have HT-X3006 from Alie, works great, talks and has wifi, set up caliber and weight, clamp it on the barrel and let the fun begin. al this for $40
I like the looks and function of those. You can order an adapter from ebay, but shipping is around 10.00. I may go for one later. All that said I got the 23.00 one from Amazon yesterday, it works and has fps. I used an Buck rail adapter and taped metal bracket inside to protect everything.

I bought a used Caldwell Precision Chrono with light bars a few years ago from another forum. I think I spent around $80 for it. Probably the best investment I've ever made for shooting. I use it all the time for airguns, PBs and all of my archery equipment. It's really a must-have for anyone that wants to be precise with their projectiles.

The pocket chronos seem nice and more conveneient for airgun use, but unfortunately many of them have speed limits that won't allow them to be used with PBs. So something to keep in mind if applicable.

Curious as to how many people own a chronograph? In new and wasnt planning on owning one but if I want to swap out amunition or try some slugs out this piece of equipment is a nescisity correct? No way to dial in your FPS with out one is there?

Is there a budget friendly chronograph that works?
PM me! I've got one for sale. You'll end up wanting one someday anyway
